As Demand Planning Manager (f/m/d) you prepare and maintain in close collaboration with our commercial partners the HUB demand plan rolling for 18 months, to support and achieve overall business goals in Net Sales, Margin, Customer Satisfaction and Inventory Working Capital. Also leading Customization Team in the development and commercialization of specialty packaging and display products.

 

You are responsible for managing all activities to develop, align, & communicate the demand plan for the HUB. The final demand plan must balance cross functional input and reflect the latest commercial/customer plans in order to meet business objectives. The Demand Planning Manager (f/m/d) is the main contact between the commercial team & category supply chain to achieve an aligned/synchronized demand plan and drive continuous improvement.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Build Collaborative Demand Plan – Regularly interact with commercial teams (CDT's, customer marketing, and consumer marketing) to gather customer plans & other demand inputs. Work with the Demand Planning teams to determine deviations vs. statistical demand plan, guide the team on gaining alignment, & document key assumptions.
  • Review Demand Plan - Prepare & participate in the Monthly CBP discipline process to develop an aligned demand plan. Gaps & opportunities are identified, quantified & addressed.
  • Synchronize Supply & Demand - Ensure alignment of final demand plan to supply plan. Identify and ensure communication of supply risks/opportunities/constraints, potential solutions, and impact on “unconstrained demand plan”.
  • Support New Product Planning & Life Cycle Planning -Work cross functionally to finalize pipeline volume & first 6 months of demand for new products. Track/measure actual shipments vs. documented key assumptions. Collaborate with a cross functional team to manage & communicate sku performance and life cycle changes (Sku Simplification).
  • Measure & Track Performance - Measure, report, and drive improvement of demand planning process & results.
  • Communicate & Manage Demand – Monitor orders and shipments on a regular basis. Identify/Communicate significant changes. Facilitate Fast Track process.
  • Inventory Management - Define yearly goals incorporating the demand & supply parameters and manage accordingly.
  • SLOB management - Identify issues and resolve timely and deliver on goals including responsibility of Broker Sales.
  • SKU management - Drive portfolio optimization, by analyzing and reviewing quarterly the tail end of the active skus with retail and HUB marketing.
  • International Project Work/ Improvements in Demand Planning - Be the contact point for Demand Planning. Cooperate with relevant stakeholders(internal and external) to identify process improvements and FTG opportunities.
  • Attend and represent HUB demand planning in different forums. LAM, Quarterly meetings with division, Monthly Discipline etc.
  • Manage Key Performance Indicators: Case Fill, Demand Planning Accuracy, Inventory Days Coverage, SLOB levels, SKU Count.
  • Champion and drive usage of tools – Control Tower, expand stat forecasting, Demand Sensing etc
  • Ensure copacking efficiencies, on time and full delivery and continuous improvement and FTG.
  • Drive efficiency and simplification everywhere.
  • Leadership of the team of Demand Planners and Customization.
  • Key interfaces are CS&L, CBS, IT Solution, Customer Development (CDT’s), Marketing, Finance, 3PL and Customers.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Preferable Masters in Engineering / Business Administration economics with a focus on supply chain / logistics. MBA is a plus
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in an international environment.
  • Analytical understanding as well as systematic and pragmatic approach.
  • Strong knowledge of Demand Planning systems and processes and good Business perspective.
  • Experience in leadership and Strong Team Player.
  • Assertiveness and result orientation.
  • Challenging Status Quo, innovative, embrace and champion new tools and systems.
  • Fluent in English and preferably in German.
  • Computer skills (MS Office, SAP R/3 / APO, preferably IBP, Tableau).
