Position Purpose:

Ensures that Colgate Palmolive is in complete compliance with all legal requirements pertaining to income, VAT  and other indirect taxes, including the preparation and submission of all tax returns, required payments and  audit verifications. Prepares information for the income tax provision.  

- Supports the commercial and finance teams with tax related inquiries 

- Prepares information to complete tax submissions to International Tax Department in US

Let’s talk about main responsibilities:

•  Prepare tax returns and reconcile general ledger prior to tax disbursements 

• Prepare VAT books 

• File informative returns (VAT, withholding tax) 

• Communicate with SAT and other Tax Authorities to request and verify tax related information, such as  compliance status 

•  Manage and prioritize workload depending on the complexity and quantity 

• Participate in additional team projects related to tax support to finance and commercial teams - Prepare foreign credit tax information 

• Gather data on intercompany transactions for tax return 

• Gather input and prepare income tax book/tax provision 

• Prepare and review taxable income and income tax return filing  

• Make tax payment proposal and obtain approval from Tax Manager 

• Comply with Central America countries withholding requirements  

• Support y maintains SOX testing and documentation 

• Support audit of statutory financial statements  

• Prepare financial statements and notes for statutory purposes

What you need for this position:

• Bachelor´s Degree in Accounting

• At least 3-5 years of experience in Tax Compliance: IVA, ISR, ISO

• Intermediate-Advanced English Level

• Intermediate MS Excel

• Google Suite (desirable)

• SAP (desirable)
