As a Key Customer Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth by leading and nurturing strategic partnerships with key retail accounts. You will be the bridge between our category strategies and the account’s shopper strategies—ensuring our products move seamlessly into store aisles, off the shelves, and into consumers' homes as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Expertise & Strategic Partnership: Build deep relationships across the retailer's organization (Buying, Marketing, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Store Operations) to understand their business needs, anticipate future trends, and deliver proactive, value-adding solutions.

Business Planning & Negotiation: Execute commercial strategy and negotiation plans focused on total business value—balancing price and investment with supply chain efficiency, promotional effectiveness, category growth, and shopper insights.

Category & Performance Analysis: Monitor daily business and customer service performance, tracking sales metrics, shipment volume, consumption, and GTN to identify growth opportunities and execute corrective action plans.

Trade Promotion Execution: Coordinate, execute, and evaluate account-specific events alongside Customer Marketing. Ensure post-evaluation analysis of all promotional activities to continuously optimize future commercial tactics.

Shelf Excellence & Category Management: Lead "Winning at the Shelf" strategies by embedding category management learnings and shopper insights into daily business, optimizing product availability, share of shelf, and promotional execution.

New Product Launches: Deliver high-impact customer presentations to drive rapid sell-in and full distribution for all new product innovations and special packs.

Commercial & Financial Control: Pre-evaluate commercial investments to ensure ROI and alignment with business strategy, maintaining accurate spending projections and collaborating closely with Credit Control.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Completed Bachelor’s Degree.

Proven experience in Customer Development, Key Account Management, or Commercial roles within FMCG / CPG or retail environments.

Solid experience in commercial negotiation, joint business planning, and trade promotion management.

Strong financial acumen and data analysis skills (understanding P&L impact, ROI evaluation, and sales reporting).

Ability to build collaborative, long-term business relationships across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Practical knowledge or experience applying Category Management principles and Shopper Insights to drive category growth.

Experience coordinating directly with Supply Chain, Customer Marketing, and Field Sales teams to improve end-to-end execution.
