Job Overview:

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Innovation Manager with a proven track record of success to join our team. This Innovation Manager will lead new product innovation launches, including upfront and ongoing analysis and tactical execution.  Additionally, this person will champion collaboration across business units, with demonstrated cross-functional leadership across marketing, R&D, Operations, Sales, Strategy, Finance, and Legal/Regulatory.  This individual is people centric and leverages empathy and creativity to envision new solutions to help people achieve their skin health goal.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovation strategies, launch new products that meet business objectives

  • Monitor the domestic and global marketplace for new product innovations, competitor actions, lifestyle trends, consumer and market trend insights, and emerging technologies

  • Collide stimulus from the marketplace with consumer, professional, & market research, Syndicated data (IRi or Nielsen), competitive trends and forecasting to recommend new product, category or brand ideas

  • Leverage external data and internal cross functional perspectives to define rich territories for innovation with deep grounding in consumer needs, attitudes and behaviors as well as business needs and brand equity

  • Collaborate with CPSH sales, consumer insights, brand marketing, and commercial teams to scope and create the business case for prioritizing innovation investments

  • Make recommendations regarding product objectives and strategy, positioning, pricing, packaging and product lifecycle

  • Develop strategic analyses to assess and measure new product launch success

  • Develop early product and category concepts for both professional-use and consumer-use portfolio

  • Manage global packaging structure, artwork and claims portfolio

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business or related discipline

  • 5+ years of work experience in an marketing innovation role in a consumer-centric business 

  • Classically trained innovation marketer with skincare and/or CPG experience

  • Demonstrated experience in using analysis & insights to create new product business cases aligned to business objectives, comfortable with syndicated data,  qualitative and quantitative market research protocols

  • Strong working knowledge of product development lifecycle 

  • Working knowledge of financial planning, forecasting assortment planning and inventory management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple innovation projects simultaneously

  • Strong leadership, organization, planning, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence others both up and across the organization

  • Actively seek in-depth understanding of Global markets and Skin Care consumers

  • Has proven ability to care and value others, respecting the diverse and unique contributions of individuals through team collaboration 

  • Has experience in developing and implementing efficiencies across the new product development process 

  • Is both creative and analytical, with experience in creating and validating new product concepts
