Provide a direct interface with specialist pet retail distributors at customer level to ensure optimal execution of Hill’s 6Ps. Ensure Hill’s is the strategic partner of choice in the assigned stores and gain business support to grow SOM and Sales.

 

Explore and execute the addition of new clinics / hospitals in the distributor current routes (2 to 3 per month), Communicate and execute the promotional Grid defined by the BDM with their distributors being managed. Promote a commercial mindset within the veterinary union (commercial training for Veterinarians). Implement tactical activities to support the commercial execution of the Qtr according to the available budget Sending results and Proof of perforation to finance for Credit Notes. Coach the RTC's on the commercial execution, routes and goals to be tracked, Analyze theperformance of the Distributor's Top clients (SO and opportunity plan) Follow-up to Vet's business plans with Hills and Contests to ensure compliance. Ensure, together with the distributor's sales reps, the subscription of at least 80% to Vets con Hills every quarter.

 

 

Country Management

 

  •  Achieve country sales targets
  • Plan and execute call value (coverage, frequency, productivity) for the territory, based on store classification and required activities.
  • Timely report calls and maintain records for the territory
  • Review store potential for the territory (every year)
  • Promptly identify new potential stores and secure strong presence and endorsement for Hill’s brands
  • Maintain accurate records in the Hill’s reporting system, e.g.
    • all stores in the territory
    • all administrative activities

 

 

Specialty Channel Development

 

 

  •  Develop deep knowledge of the customers’ business and organization; build a network with key decision makers / key influencers in the store. Maintain regular contacts with the store personnel and key influencers.
  • Identify opportunities in the assigned stores and develop business propositions that meet the needs of both Hill’s and the customer, resulting in superior 6P’s execution.
  • Implement commercial activities to ensure:
    • Sell Out growth to reach the targets
    • Full distribution, excellent visibility and active endorsement by the store staff Hill’s products.
    • Rapid distribution and support of new products
    • Establishment of shelf space, visibility and adequate inventory within each store, as per Perfect Store standards.
    • Increase recruitment of new users of Hill’s brands (e.g. trial programs)
    • Special secondary exhibition to maximize return of promotion campaigns
    • eCommerce implementation of brilliant basics and 6Ps follow up

 

  • Work together with IBE team to address all opportunities to grow this RE
  • Develop and implement annual business plans for specified stores, which realize both the needs of customers and Hill’s overall commercial objectives.
  • Schedule regular (minimum quarterly) business reviews with the decision maker in the stores to assess the achievements versus the agreed goals and adjust plan accordingly
  • Provide best in class support (detailing, in-store seminars with PVA, training PVA, merchandising), reaching all key stakeholders in specified stores

 

 

Business & Financial management

 

 

  • Monitor the achievement of territory objectives versus target and develop corrective actions where necessary
  • Manage the assigned budget and ensure timely and accurate submission of POs to head office
  • Timely and accurate submission of T&E expenses Represent Hill’s at meetings/conferences e.g. Trade shows, Pet training days, Store Opening Days
  • Keep abreast of trends in the specialty pet industry and of competitive activity and share this knowledge with the Head Office in the appropriate forums.

Education/ Experience Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Vetererinarian (desirable), business administration or international trade
  • Intermediate computer skills (Google suite) & BI experience.
  • At least 2-3 years in the veterinarian commercial area.
  • At least 3-4 years in the commercial area managing distributors directly.
  • At least 3 -4years of field sales experience working at POS.
  • At least 3-4 years coordinating with cross functional teams such as marketing, CS&L, Retail Mkt and technical areas.
  • Advanced Excel for handling large amounts of information.
  • DOMO intermediate skills or willingness to learn.
  • English language both written and spoken (Intermediate)
