The Experience:

As an trainee in a Colgate IT organization, you are stepping onto a stage of innovation and large-scale impact. The experience you'll gain is multifaceted, designed to be immersive, and will provide a realistic preview of what a full-time role in such a company entails.

Our highly technical and innovative team is dedicated to driving growth for Colgate Palmolive in this constantly evolving landscape.

What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team?

You are a function expert -

As a functional expert your development will be focused on becoming a bridge between the product and the real-world problems it solves for customers.

You connect the dots -

  • Connecting User Problems to Product Features

  • Connecting Technical Decisions to Business Impact

  • Connecting Different Modules of the System

  • Connecting Your Daily Task to the Company's Strategic Goals

  • Strong documentation skills for crafting comprehensive documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and adherence to industry standards.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

What you’ll need…(Preferred):

You are a collaborator -

  • Through Immersion in the Team's Core Rhythm (Agile Processes) - Daily Stand-ups , Sprint Planning , Retrospectives

  • Through Hands-On Technical and Project Collaboration

  • Through Cross-Functional Interactions - Working with QA (Quality Assurance) , Product Managers / Developers

  •  Through Mastering the Tools of Collaboration - Google Suite / Jira / Git

You are an innovator -

  • By Leveraging your  "Fresh Eyes" Advantage - This is a trainee's single greatest innovative asset. You are not constrained by the phrase "we've always done it this way."

  • Through Automation of Repetitive Work (Practical Innovation)

  • Through Experimentation in a Safe Environment

  • Data Analytics & Databases: Strong proficiency in SQL is non-negotiable. Familiarity with a scripting language like Python for data manipulation and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is highly valuable

  • Curiosity & a Questioning Mindset: Not just accepting things as they are, but asking "why?" to uncover opportunities for improvement

  • A Bias for Action: A proactive drive to automate manual processes, build small prototypes to test ideas, and solve problems without waiting to be told exactly what to do.
