What You'll Be Doing (Your Responsibilities):

 

This role is responsible for driving sustainable, profitable growth for a portfolio of Colgate-Palmolive products with a key retailer in the Irish market.

 

Driving Commercial Success (Internal Focus):

  • Achieve budgeted Net Sales & Margin targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Fully manage the P&L for your designated portfolio part, ensuring mutually profitable and sustainable business decisions.

  • Accurately forecast volume/sales/investment through effective 5P planning and clear identification of risks and opportunities monthly.

  • Lead the planning and system input (SAP) of all customer plans, including volume and pricing conditions for all baseline and promotional events.

  • Collaborate closely with Demand Planning, CEL, UK Retail Marketing, and the CD Team to align commercial plans with customer strategy and Irish market trends.

  • Analyse Colgate and competitor promotional activity using tools like Nielsen/Kantar to drive continuous improvement and adjust future customer demand plans.

  • Ensure the accuracy of Master data and support the effective launch of new products.

Building Strategic Partnerships (External Focus):

  • Cultivate and strengthen strong, mutually beneficial relationships with Buyers/Buying Managers and Supply Chain contacts at the retailer.

  • Develop a clear understanding of the Irish Market, competitor dynamics, customer strategy, and shopper behaviour to demonstrate how the customer can win.

  • Develop and gain buy-in for a comprehensive 12/24-month business plan for Ireland.

  • Proactively identify and drive incremental opportunities through data analysis, negotiation, and commercial interrogation of the business.

  • Lead cross-functional relationships with Ireland customers, engaging support from Category Management and Shopper Marketing as needed.

  • Manage external contact with the retailer, including identifying and developing relevant contacts for the retailer’s online business.

  • Experience in Integrated Commercial Planning and Omni-channel execution is highly valued.
