JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Millwright Mechanical Technician to join our team. As a Millwright Mechanical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair/troubleshooting and fabrication of mechanical equipment and machinery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, assemble, and align mechanical equipment and machinery used in toothpaste and bar soap production, including, fillers, mixers, cartoners/wrapping and packaging machines.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including cams, gears, bearings, shafts, couplings, motors, pumps, power transmission components, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems to troubleshoot, repair and maintain them.
- Conduct regular maintenance activities, such as lubrication, inspections, and adjustments, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery through planned and preventive maintenance.
- Welding and Machining Fabrication skills to carry out modifications, fabricate components, or perform repairs for various machinery parts through cutting, drilling, grinding (lathe) and welding.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to address complex mechanical challenges and optimize equipment functionality.
- Monitor equipment performance and conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and avoid production disruptions.
- Participate in equipment upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency, safety, and quality in accordance with established procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to facilitate tracking and reporting.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technician Mechanical/Millwright diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in millwright or mechanical trade is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Millwright Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing/production or industrial setting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex mechanical problems effectively.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Effective communication and team collaboration mindset.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
