Key Responsibilities :

  1. Develop & implement a microbiological sampling and testing program for water, raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), environmental samples, finished products and other micro sensitive sample at the facility. This plan must be based on QS 023 and applicable QMICs.

  2. Perform microbiological sampling and testing of water, environment (compressed air, manufacturing and laboratory surfaces, and laboratory air), WIP, finished products and other micro sensitive samples at the facility following applicable QMICs (Validation or Routine).

  3. Fill in the microbiological testing part for finished goods and raw material of Q.A. Test reports.

  4. Ensure all testing is performed according to corporate methods and policy and adheres to good microbiological practices. This includes the set up and administration of a laboratory quality assurance system that covers method and material qualification as well as equipment IQ/OQ/PQ, Calibration & maintenance.

  5. Understand and use basic laboratory safety equipment and instructions, precautions in handling and disposing of biological materials, in accordance with local environmental regulations.

  6. Ensure that the reporting of data and maintenance of records is documented. Also, that the interpretation of the data is correct and that the results are effectively communicated to appropriate individuals, including management.

  7. In partnership with operations & engineering, develop and implement plant floor micro control programs based on the C&S Guidelines, Control Point Monitoring, Micro Susceptibility Index and Process Validation.

  8. Devise and implement a program of routine problem resolution and continuous improvement.

  9. Train & develop the laboratory staff using the principles of Coaching & Feedback as well as the Competency Development Map for Microbiology.

  10. Develop & implement microbiology training for plant floor management and operators.

  11. Participate in internal audits and external audits (contract manufacturers & labs, suppliers, etc.) Function as part of the Plant GMP & Quality Team.

  12. Collaborate with Global & Divisional Quality/Microbiology teams to provide input on programs, procedures and methods, and receive guidance & support on implementation of programs.

  13. Coaches and trains plant personnel and laboratory staff in microbiological issues, risk avoidance, asepsis, and Micro awareness

Required Qualifications :

  • A Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

  • Proficient in English
