Situated within the Global Corporate Communications Team, this role plays a key part in sharing Colgate's purpose—to reimagine a healthier future for people, pets, and our planet. Our team communicates with those who buy, sell, invest, and depend on us, using channels such as social media, corporate website, graphic design, internal communications, executive communications, media relations, public relations, and corporate social responsibility actions. About the Summer Internship Program:
Colgate-Palmolive's Global Corporate Communications Team is excited to welcome talented individuals to join our Summer Internship Program. This year, we are offering a unique opportunity for a Social Media Intern. As an intern, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital presence and engaging global audiences. If you are an outside of the box, creative thinker with a passion for social media, this could be the job for you!
Responsibilities:

Creative Concepting: Participate in brainstorming sessions to translate brand objectives into high-impact social concepts and campaign ideas.

Trend Forecasting: Conduct "Social Pulse" research to identify emerging trends, viral audio, and cultural shifts on platforms like TikTok and Reels before they hit the mainstream.

Competitive Intelligence: Perform deep-dive audits of direct competitors and "best-in-class" digital brands to identify white-space opportunities for Colgate-Palmolive.

Collaborative Strategy: Partner with cross-functional teams (Design, Purpose, TA & More) to ensure social-first ideas are cohesive.

Platform-Native Content Creation: Ideate, storyboard, and produce unique short-form video content that aligns with brand voice & campaign goals.

Social Intelligence & Listening: Utilize social listening tools to monitor brand sentiment and pull actionable reports that inform real-time engagement and reactive marketing strategies.

Calendar & Execution: Assist in the development and management of integrated social media calendars, ensuring timely posting and a strategic mix of content pillars.

Execute end-to-end mobile content production, from on-site iPhone capture to final edit, ensuring all assets are optimized for TikTok and Reels engagement.
Qualifications:

A deep passion for social / digital media and the evolving digital media landscapes.

Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their best practices

Familiarity with social media management platforms or a strong willingness to learn them.

Creative mindset with the ability to think innovatively and outside the box.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to effectively develop content and collaborate with team members.

Knowledge of social reporting and analytics, or willingness to learn.

Proven time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Keen attention to detail to ensure high-quality content and execution.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively work across the team.

Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree as a rising Junior or Senior with a GPA of 2.8 or higher.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $20.50 - $25.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
