Job Purpose

  • Responsible for the Danish marketing activities on our 2 Personal Care brands, Sanex and Palmolive.
  • Be the liaison between Customer Development (Sales department) & Consumer/Shopper Marketing at the Category & Retail Environment level, facilitating the achievement of our commercial goals.
  • Translate brand plans, shopper insight & retail knowledge into trading plans by Retail Environment which drive all key financial measures
  • Lead development, communication and implementation of Retail Environment strategies


Main Responsibilities

  • Leadership of category 5P issues, meaning product, price, place, promotion and placement. Own the 5P programme that supports the Brand, Category & Retail Environment (RE) strategy.
  • Identify recommendations and solutions for category / RE opportunities, playing a key role in the DK Commercial Team and Process, progressing approval through to senior Leadership team. 
  • Develop and adapt the rolling- commercial trading plans for the category (including new products) working with the Consumer Marketing team based in the UK, using brand plans and market conditions.
  • Deliver timely and effective communication of amendments and reprioritisation of the commercial plan to the wider commercial team and assist in account-specific implementation
  • Develop compelling Trade communication which will drive customer engagement with our brands
  • Deliver full ROI promotional analysis of all category & RE activity to ensure most efficient promotion programme is delivered with outputs and recommendations shared across the commercial group and embedded into the rolling commercial plan.
  • Manager for a  student employed in the Danish Retail Marketing team

Key Challenges

  • To be the facilitator between Customer Development, Consumer & Shopper Marketing & the business on all RE issues.
  • To play a lead role in the Customer Marketing team & drive the commercial process for Sanex and Palmolive  for the DK Company.
  • To combine knowledge of the wider RE and category dynamics with the specific CP agenda to identify key risks and opportunities for the CP business.
