Job Purpose

  • Execute CP Demand Planning Fundamentals for nominated Nordic country and delivery of core functional KPI’s
  • To manage preparation, alignment, and communication of a high quality country demand plan  and play a key role in the Monthly Discipline process
  • Work with Customer Development to plan launches, distribution changes, fast tracks and highlight significant forecast trends.
  • Manage supply situation for the Nordics and work with O2I, CD and SNP to manage priorities  to maximise case fill and Customer Service for all Nordic countries

 

Main Responsibilities

Demand Planning 

  • Follow the Colgate standard monthly Demand Planning process & build a high quality demand plan in APO 

    • Gather customer plans (baseline, promotions & new products) & other key information from multi-functional team (CDT's, customer development from Hub or country, consumer marketing). Determine deviations vs. statistical demand plan, gain alignment, & document key assumptions. 

  • Review demand plan and align with CD team and CBP forecast through the monthly disciple process

    • Prepare & participate in the monthly CBP discipline process to develop an aligned demand plan for country of responsibility. Gaps & opportunities are identified, quantified & addressed. Business performance for most recent month, quarter, YTD vs. plan is reviewed.

  • Manage demand

    • Monitor orders and shipments on a regular basis.  Understand sources of significant changes & flag to commercial and supply chain partners. Facilitate resolution of demand requirements outside of agreed to tolerances via “Fast Track Process”

  • Measure and track performance

    • Measure, report, and drive improvement of demand planning accuracy for the total subsidiary, and category level categorized by new products, regular items, & promotional items. Sources of Demand Planning bias are identified, addressed, and eliminated.

Demand Fulfilment 

Stock Availability & Communication

  • Liaise closely with Customer Development to understand account activities, ways of working and priorities.
  • Work with SNP and Demand Planning to identify potential stock availability issues.
  • Effectively communicate availability risks and shortages to the Nordics Commercial team
  • Work with Customer Development teams to allocate stock, remove promotions, rephrase orders or optimise forecasts, to mitigate supply risk
  • Understand sell through trends highlight risks and take action to mitigate the risk of stock outs
  • Prepare weekly stock availability reporting to Customer Development and wider business. To include value availability risks.
  • Acts as a single point of contact for CBS (O2I, SNP, 4PL) in the hub and a point of escalation for Customers, Customer Development and the wider business.

 

Reservations & Allocations & Quota's

Communicate Customer priorities to O2I team

Manage the reservation, allocation and quota process within the subsidiary; work with Customer Development to agree robust allocations.

Understand changing customer development priorities and reallocate stock or remove allocations, to minimise shortages.

 

Inbound Transportation

Act as the interface between hub and CBS. Receive communication on inbound delivery dates and delivery delays, understand implications and highlight to Customer Development.

 

Order to Invoice Team

Act as the interface between the Customer Development Team and Order to Invoice team, answering questions and acting as a point of escalation for both parties.

Provide insight to enable O2I to effectively communicate supply issues and “get well dates” to Customers.

Personal Attributes:

Education/Experience

  • Honours Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or Logistics or equivalent Experience

  • 5+ years of Consumer Goods experience in Customer Development, Manufacturing, Customer Service & Logistics, Finance, and/or Marketing.

  • Proven track record in Demand Planning or Forecasting

  • Identifying and resolving short term supply issues
