The Colgate-Palmolive Flavor Center is a vital facility that produces and distributes the high-quality flavors essential to Colgate Oral Care products globally. As a Compounding Technician, you will play a key role across all operational areas, including flavor compounding, shipping, receiving, maintenance, and material management. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to advance our core business objectives—safety, quality, sustainability, productivity, and cost efficiency. Success in this role requires a strong commitment to safety and quality compliance, data integrity, proactive problem-solving, and continuous process improvement in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain full accountability for adherence to all safety, EHS, Quality, and GMP standards and guidelines.

  • Material Handling: Manage the shipping, receiving, and movement of materials to support production requirements.

  • Batch Processing: Operate computer-driven batch making processes and utilize SAP to produce, package, and document flavor batches.

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all shipping activities remain in full compliance with DOT, IMDG, and IATA regulations.

  • Documentation & SOPs: Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain precise documentation for all processes.

  • Inventory & Production Planning: Utilize SAP to confirm in-house material availability and coordinate with planning, warehouse, and receiving teams to manage upstream and downstream workflows.

  • Technology & Communication: Leverage Google Workspace, SAP, and Windows applications to coordinate resources, manage material replenishment, and communicate production plans effectively.

  • Collaboration: Partner with vendors, customers, and internal departments to support business needs and troubleshoot operational challenges.

  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in production reviews, continuous learning opportunities, and plant-wide events to drive operational excellence.

  • General Support: Perform other duties as assigned to support facility objectives.

Required Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ year prior experience in an industrial manufacturing setting

  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office and Google Workspace

  • Ability to perform the essential physical functions of this position, with or without a reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Technical College or Vocational College certificate in a related field

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, strong initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and effective communication skills.

  • Experience with SAP and Wonderware applications

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to regularly lift an 18 lb lance in the production area (up to 30 times per hour, for approximately 2 hours total per day).

  • Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lb fiber drums to dump crystals/powders into tanks (up to 60 times per day, for approximately 2 hours total per day).

  • Ability to grip containers and manually load raw materials into mixing tanks.

  • Ability to perform tasks requiring overhead reaching or vertical lifting up to 30 cm above shoulder height (up to 30 times per hour).

  • Ability to walk and stand on concrete flooring throughout the duration of the workday.

  • Must maintain clear peripheral vision to safely operate a forklift.


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $28.68 - $28.68 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
