Clinical Research Manager

Job Details

  • Position: Clinical Research Manager - Permanent (No relocation assistance ).

  • Expected Gross Annual Salary Range: 130,000 CHF - 153,000 CHF per year, determined on the basis of objective, transparent, and gender-neutral criteria.

  • Variable Compensation: Eligibility to participate in bonus and incentive programs linked to company and/or individual performance.

About the Post

Based at the Colgate-Palmolive facility in Therwil, Switzerland, this role focuses on conducting clinical studies and providing comprehensive support for clinical trials executed by the Dental Health Unit. We are seeking a highly motivated, capable individual with experience in applied health research.

 

The postholder will collaborate with team members to coordinate and undertake research studies aimed at improving global oral health, advancing oral care through novel methodologies, and translating knowledge into clinical care and best practices.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Study Management: Manage the entire clinical research process, from protocol composition and study design to administration, execution, and analysis of oral care products, novel diagnostic devices, and interventions.

  • Data & Analysis: Independently build relevant research databases and perform statistical analyses using statistical packages.

  • Clinical Trial Execution: Serve as a clinical examiner in studies and perform trials in collaboration with other global Colgate-Palmolive Technology Centers.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain Trial Master Files (TMF) and clinical trial documentation in strict compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and local/national/company policies.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with external research groups and internal business functions to identify collaborative links to dental diagnostic methods and support corporate research priorities.

  • Reporting & Dissemination: Manage the drafting, writing, and reviewing of study reports and manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication.

  • Site Supervision: Contribute to the training, onboarding, and supervision of clinical trial site staff.

 

Operational Requirements

  • Flexibility: A flexible approach to working hours is essential to support the dynamic nature of clinical trials.

  • Travel: Willingness and capability to travel to and operate at remote clinical sites for extended periods.

  • Confidentiality: Strict adherence to confidentiality protocols regarding research data sponsored by commercial or pharmaceutical entities.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Research Degree (PhD or equivalent) OR/AND a recognized Dental Degree (DDS/BDS/BSc in Dental Hygiene & Therapy).
  •  Minimum 6 years of demonstrable clinical research experience.
  • Track record of drafting clinical trial protocols and ethics forms.
  • Experience managing CROs and protocol compliance.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Accredited training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Excellent communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific certifications relevant to clinical research operations.
  • History of publishing peer-reviewed papers.
  • Experience running clinical trials for Medical Devices.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis packages.
  • Proficiency in a second language.
