The role

In today’s dynamic retail environment, it is an exciting time to be a part of the Customer Development Organization at Colgate! The HIPE (Professional) Team is dedicated to driving growth for Colgate Palmolive and HIPE in this constantly evolving landscape. As the Associate Customer Development Manager for Professional, you will support our Home Care, Personal Care, and Oral Care categories.


What you will do

  • Own and deliver sales objectives on volume, spending, and product execution, while also running the P&L for Jetro and Restaurant Depot divisions. 
  • Formulate and execute on our strategic plan to ensure you reach maximum volume, profitability and customer service. You’ll be engaging and leading your customers across, Category, Digital, Omni Marketing & CS&L,  behind your category and customer objectives.
  • Demonstrate consumer insights associated with strong Colgate brand equities to drive incremental growth and strengthen the customer investment and relationship, so that it is consistent with the Colgate strategy, brand strategy, and your retail environment insights.
  • Lead customer engagement, have direct relationship responsibility for multiple customers across all brands while delivering  joint strategic plans, monthly, quarterly & annually with all Jetro and Restaurant Depot divisions..
  • Work closely and engage with other Colgate teams to ensure we have the plans to deliver growth for the next 1-5 years +.
  • Complete monthly internal retail environment reviews, plan at the SKU level by customer, manage each customer P&L, and manage the overall P&L for each retail environment.
  • Support additional team members in identifying and uncovering additional opportunities to drive growth within the larger HIPE team.
  • Create yearly promotional and e-commerce plans/calendars to drive profitable growth. 

 

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 5+ years in sales roles or adjacent experiences 
  • P&L and analytical experience 
  • Digital and E-commerce experience 
  • Microsoft Office or Google Suite proficiency (i.e, Sheets, Slides, Docs)
  • Comfortable working in a fast past work environment 
  • Ability to present and train sales teams on Colgate
  • Ability to multi task and make strategic customer decisions 
  • Ability to create strong customer relationships 

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with marketing and supply chain teams cross-functionally 
  • Experience working in consumer product goods 
  • Experience working with Jetro and Restaurant Depot 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $81,200.00 - $128,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
