We are looking for a highly motivated Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team! The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for identifying and effectively executing Continuous Improvement projects to improve plant performance KPIs such as Asset Utilization (AU) and Unplanned Downtime (UPDT). He/She will partner with functions such as EHS and Quality on initiatives to improve other plant KPI's, making sure that the operational implications of those projects are addressed.


The Continuous Improvement Engineer will own and drive the Productivity and Continuous Improvement standard for all areas of the facility. She/He will also support FP&R Team initiatives, especially around 5S and Visual Workplace, Autonomous Maintenance and People Capability.

What you will do

  • Own and maintain accurate daily production data capturing and reporting.
  • Manage and lead the Standard Daily Meeting.
  • Execute performance improvement at a KPI level by analysis of available data (OPERA, Tableau, EAM, SAP), monitoring and planning forward actions.
  • Engage stakeholders at all functions and levels to identify continuous improvement opportunities (EHS Self-Assessments, Quality Annual Product Review, Small Group Meetings / Line CI, Global FP&R Teams, etc).
  • Conduct formal area/line productivity reviews with functional/area leads and define appropriate advanced CI tools to be used (SMED, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma Projects, etc).
  • Lead Kaizen Events and work cross-functionally to execute actions and projects to achieve improvements.
  • Drive the successful transfer of projects from Engineering to Operations and Engineering. Drive ramp-up improvements after project implementations.
  • Manage the facility Project Hopper with the support of all functional/area leads to prioritize CI projects, track progress, and quantify delivered results.
  • Deliver training and drive the use of basic root cause analysis tools (5 Why’s, Fishbone and Pareto). Assist as needed in delivering training in the areas of process improvement, technical knowledge, problem solving, etc.
  • Champion the Continuous Improvement Review (CIR) process for the plant.
  • Participate in the FP&R Assessment Program and management of the Facility Action Plan.
  • This position should have Awareness Training of site’s PSM (Process Safety Management) Program and be familiar with evacuation procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • At least 3 years Manufacturing Operations Supervision, Project Management, Process Engineering or Improvement Engineer
  • At least 3 years Using data analysis to identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities, and executing projects to achieve results
  • Proficient in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Innovative, strategic thinker, and decision maker.
  • Manages deadlines and resources; creates timelines to ensure projects conclude on time.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in technical field
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or experience
  • Tableau Software certification or experience
  • Experience with OPERA, Wonderware, SAP
  • Experience with process automation, programming, or software development
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing requirements in CGMPs, OSHA, RPM/PSM, Microbiology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite.
