The primary function of this position is to perform analytical testing and data analysis of raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods (fabric softeners and dish liquids/cleaners).


Responsibilities include:

  • Perform physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process and finished product samples in accordance with the Quality Plan and standard operating procedures. Approve materials and finished products based on test results.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment as required.

  • Routinely prepare and review test data, including tracking and trending of data, and process capability evaluation

  • Provide support to the facility to resolve nonconformance issues and identify root causes and corrective actions.

  • Support special Quality and continuous improvement projects for the facility.

  • Assist in compilation of Antibacterial Batch Release Records, reviewing for documentation accuracy, and providing feedback to teams where required. 

  • Maintain accurate, up to date and concise laboratory notebooks and records.

  • The Chemist is responsible to operate the PSM covered processes in accordance with site policy and procedures. 

  • The Chemist will review operating procedures annually or as needed.

  • The Chemist should complete a PSM 100 workshop within one calendar year from hire date.

  • The position does require flexibility (sick, vacation coverage, etc) so as to best meet the facility’s needs and support projects.


  • Has in-depth knowledge of basic analytical testing and laboratory procedures

  • Has the ability to smell odors and see colors in order to perform the smell, color & appearance testing is

  • required.

  • Desire, willingness, and ability to learn new laboratory practices

  • Good knowledge of Google Suite

  • Attention to detail, time management, organization and multi-tasking skills

  • Excellent documentation skills and management of batch records/production paperwork

  • Ability & Flexibility to work a rotational schedule to support a 24/7 plant facility operation



  • 4 year Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or a science related degree

Preferred Experience:

  • 2 years practical lab experience
  • Knowledge of chromatography techniques (GC/MS, HPLC, etc.)


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $43,900 - $66,700 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:
