Job Summary

The Maintenance and Project Engineer is responsible for effectively managing the maintenance activities of utilities /facility, developing a mid and long term strategy; the strategy must address safety, planning/scheduling, staffing, preventative maintenance, storeroom, continuous improvement, and training.  Also, the position is responsible to lead implementation activities of engineering projects, developing collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders. He/she must deliver as agreed to business outcomes, maintaining positive relationships with employees. The role includes, employee relations, people and team development.

 

Job Functions

  • Plan, develop and implement all the CEB projects for the plant/area, as well as, prepare for new equipment's the Design Assessment requirements (DQ), Installation Assessment (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) according to the Corporate Quality Standard.
  • Elaborate MOC´s. ensuring that all plant changes, which could impact facility EHS / QA compliance, must be documented (MOC) prior to initiation of the change.
  • Elaborate Maintenances Budget and Plant Alterations Budget, as well as their control and follow up 
  • Coordinate, verify and keep all maintenance activities in the utilities (preventive, corrective and predictive).
  • Update utilities factors for standard cost (Projects & Maintenance area)
  • Research new technologies, equipment's and utilities optimization and attend suppliers
  • Ensure ongoing verification (of capability and capacity) and maintenance of all Water & Critical Utility Systems 
  • Attend EHS, Quality and FP&R audits as required according to position, as well as, close all the findings.
  • Accomplish with the Management System of safety and Health at Work "SGSST" as required according to position.
  • Lead maintenance team including, schedules and technicians staffing levels, performance and accountability, as well as individual and team development needs
  • Maintain and analize equipment data and history records to predict mainetnance optimization

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in Maintenance, Engineering  or operations for manufacturing
  • Project management
  • Leadership experience in managing teams
  • Desirable knowledge in SAP
  • Advanced English desirable
