Sr. Customer Development Team Finance Analyst (all gender)
Reporting Relationship
The Sr. CDT Finance Analyst reports to the Sr. CDT Finance Manager CEE.
Job Objective
The Sr. CDT Finance Analyst provides general business and financial counsel to the General Manager and commercial team. A key activity of this role is to ensure that business and financial planning and control processes meet corporate needs and that plans are accurately presented and evaluated.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Commercial business planning
- Develop deep understanding of the Colgate business planning system
- Leverage commercial plans to develop the latest estimates and budgets
- Provide monthly analysis of the commercial sales plan versus budget or latest estimates
- Support the evaluation of promotional impact and conduct cost benefit analyses (ROI)
- Monitor key competitive investment by account
- Trade spending control and reporting
- Perform trade spending analysis – comparing actual spend to the budget and latest estimates
- Meet with customers’ finance team as needed
- Approve pricing requests in accordance with price strategy
- Financial control
- Assist team leaders in monitoring customer and category income statements
- Ensure that total customer / trade spending is in-line with trade spending plan
- Control of SAP agreements
- Periodically review agreements to ensure that they are properly maintained in SAP
- Support and/or coordinate internal and external audit engagements
- Perform ad-hoc analysis for management and financial reporting purposes
- Co-operate with the legal department and credit agencies to periodically determine customer credit terms
- Collaborate with Colgate Shared Services on Collections and Financial Reporting
- Collaborate with C2C on deductions balances. Assist with money collection, credit analysis as needed
- Support with the swift and accurate resolution of customer claims
- Manages special projects, as required.
Required Competencies

- Understands the impact of inaccuracies in reporting, ensures correct data in analysis.

- Is very receptive/cooperative to providing financial education/clarification to non-financial colleagues
- Be proactive and energetic.
Specific Requirements
- Understands in detail the company commercial processes.
- Good knowledge of GAAP accounting
- Possess a complete understanding of all financial transactions related to marketing and selling reports from the originating transaction to final report.
- Understands marketing policies.
- Understands order processing, sales and distribution operations and the related gross to net implications.
- Proficiency in English language and computer literacy are a must (knowledge of Excel, Word, SAP).
Education and Experience Required
- University degree in Finance/Economics
- At least 3 years-experience preferably combined in commercial Finance (FMCG) and in well-known international audit company
Salary Range: 19,700 RON - 25,490 RON gross per month
Salary payment frequency: monthly
The salary level is determined by the objective evaluation of the position's requirements, such as required skills, effort and responsibility, which places the role into a specific level within the company's compensation framework.
Employees will also be eligible to the annual bonus plan - on target 8% of base annual salary linked to company and individual performance.
