JOB PROFILE: DEMAND PLANNER

 

Reports To: Demand Planning Manager CEE HUB

Location: Bucharest

Travel: up to 10 %

Purpose:

Provide the company with an 18-month demand plan at SKU level developed with cross functional input, synchronized with supply processes with the objective to balance case fill and inventory.

 

Scope of Responsibility:

The Subsidiary Demand Planner   is responsible for managing all activities needed to develop, align, & communicate the demand plan for a subsidiary.  The final demand plan must balance cross functional input and reflect the latest commercial/customer plans in order to meet business objectives. The demand planner will be the main conduit between the commercial team &  supply chain to achieve an aligned/synchronized demand plan and drive continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build Collaborative Demand Plan - Regularly interact with commercial teams (CDT & marketing) to gather customer plans & other demand inputs. Determine deviations, gain alignment, & document key assumptions.
  • Review Demand Plan  - Prepare & participate in the Monthly discipline process to develop an aligned demand plan. Gaps & opportunities are identified, quantified & addressed.
  • Synchronize Supply & Demand - Ensure alignment of final demand plan to supply plan. Identify and ensure communication of supply risks/opportunities/constraints, potential solutions to avoid case fill issues or inventory consequences.
  • Communicate & Manage Demand - Monitor orders and shipments on a regular basis. Identify/communicate significant changes in Demand Plan.  Fast Track process.
  • Measure & Track Performance - Measure, report, and drive improvement of demand planning process & results with, demand plan monthly post evaluation and actions. For case fill, identify the source of issues and propose solutions to avoid it.
  • Identify and communicate excess inventory / slob  issues to the Commercial Team, lead actions locally to agree on solutions,  monitor their execution.
  • Support New Product Planning & Life Cycle Planning - work cross functionally to finalize pipeline volume & first 6 months of demand for new products. Track/measure actual shipments vs. documented key assumptions. Collaborate with a cross functional team to manage & communicate SKU performance and life cycle changes.
  • Support SKU Simplification Process (recommend SKU rationalization initiatives, maintain master data parameters reflecting discontinuation,  DChain and LS update).
  • Participate in change management initiatives and projects  involving Demand Planning.

Customer Development, Marketing, Finance, Supply Network Planning, Demand Fulfillment, Statistical Planning, Global Planning Teams.

 

Education:

Preferable Masters in Engineering / Business Administration/  Economic,  with a focus on supply chain / logistics.

Experience:

3 -5+ years experience of Demand Planning in Consumer Goods or  in  Manufacturing or in  Supply Network Planning.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in utilization of SAP and APO system for statistical forecasting and/or demand planning
