Associate Professional Veterinary Affairs Manager
We are looking for an Associate Professional Veterinary Affairs Manager to join our Benelux team of which the offices are located in Breda, the Netherlands. This role is instrumental in the company’s efforts to grow sales and market share by its focus on veterinary recommendation and ‘Brand Recommended Most Often’ (BRMO) leadership, by providing education, technical and business development support to the profession and fulfilling its diverse needs and bringing veterinary insights to the company.
The role performs the strategy provided by the country Professional Veterinary Affairs Manager to deliver Hill’s programs focused on all parts of the veterinary profession which include schools, students, KTL, practicing veterinarians, nurses, as well as internal audiences.
- Run the veterinary university/nurse schools programs and support the student representatives, feeding programs and also support specialists in private practices.
- Complete and deliver technical (internal & external) training & education and attend/ support seminars and congresses. Facilitate education initiatives for the corporate clinics.
- Provide help to veterinary/technical queries coming from the helpline.
- Provide ongoing up to date In Clinic Seminars for the field teams and keep the central ‘drive’ location up to date with relevant materials per brand/category/life stage.
- Responsible for completing the country’s Continuing Education strategy and keep track of accomplishment of on-line and off-line KPI’s
- Reports critical metrics and budget files (including Purchase Orders management) in a timely and accurate fashion in order to compile regular reports to central.
- Being a champion in the European professional digital initiatives, leading to full implementation of all professional digital initiatives and increased engagement with ‘generation Z’.
- Support, check and validate content on labels, Key online, QR and marketing materials using tools and systems such as Prodigy and Impira.
- Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent country qualification with a veterinary license
- Ideally 3+ years of small animal clinical practice experience
- Knowledge of the pet food business
- An optimist in action; proficient in Dutch and French is an absolute must, English speaking.
- Hands-on “can do” approach, with willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
- Experience with digital tools such as Google collaboration tools
- Very strong interpersonal skills with internal ( marketing, customer development, consumer helpline, ..) & external stakeholders (veterinarians, nurses, and academia)
