As a (Senior) Logistics Officer, you will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, directing, managing, and evaluating the operations and budget for departments or companies involved in supply chain services. This includes customer service, inventory control, transportation, materials handling, and strategic planning. Your objective will be to identify and implement opportunities to enhance logistics operations.
Your responsibilities will span across managing demand and order fulfillment processes for imported and exported goods, ensuring the achievement of business results while maintaining positive employee relations. The key accountability areas include customer service, financial performance, quality, regulatory compliance, and organizational development. You will effectively collaborate with subsidiary, divisional, and corporate management to deliver outstanding results. Additionally, as a visible representative of Colgate-Palmolive, you will develop beneficial relationships with the local community, customers, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Launch new projects on time and drive continuous improvement in Advanced Planning & Optimization (APO).
- Ensure smooth logistics order and shipping processes with subsidiaries, maintaining high customer service levels.
- Manage international shipping, compliance, and documentation with freight forwarders and brokers.
- Communicate logistics metrics, resolve quality, service, and cost issues, and enforce policies and safety regulations.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate associates, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry practices.
- Develop standardized processes for clients, coordinate with other support groups, and oversee accurate billing and payment processing.
- Collaborate with client representatives, analyze service issues, and implement performance improvements.
- Lead Quality/FP&R/EHS standard: refer to R & R matrix detail for each standard
The Individual
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related field.
Experience:
Having at least 02 years of experience in Logistics and extensive experience as a supervisor may substitute for formal education
