As the Front Office Manager you will be responsible for the general operation of our office  for Colgate-Palmolive Netherlands in Weesp (Amsterdam). It is a facilitating, but also representative role, with both organizing as well as administrative tasks.

 

What You’ll Do

Every day is different, but below is a sample of what you will experience and expect to accomplish:

  • General reception work is a big part of the job which  involves greeting visitors, answering incoming phone calls and general admin tasks. 

  • Light financial admin such as creating PO’s and vendors in the system

  • Provide back-office support to our Professional Oral Care team (webshop), as well as our external Consumer Affairs call center.

  • Support the local leadership team with various tasks and organize local events whether on or off-site - throughout the year 

  • Responsibility for our overall office environment in the broadest meaning of the word: purchasing office supplies and equipment and taking proper inventory ensuring a great workplace to smile about 

 

Communication, as well as keeping and following-up on appointments is important, as you will work with quite a few external and internal service providers and government services such as the building proprietor, the cleaning company, internal Colgate IT department,  maintenance companies, health authorities, etc. 

 

Furthermore there’s a great opportunity to discover the ‘people’ side of the company as there’s a wide range of (ad-hoc) support activities inside our HR department this person can be involved in as well. 

 

Overall it’s a great role for an energetic person who loves to connect with others and be a part of the different workings within the organization and aims to  make sure everything runs smoothly.

  • An optimist in action; fluent in Dutch is a must and English speaking

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in office administration

  • Hands-on “can do” approach

  • Strong communicator who can guide both with internal and external stakeholders

  • Basic computer skills

  • Team player who likes to juggle 1000 balls whilst delivering accurate results
