The Agency Manager plays a critical role in third party (Sales Agency) management at the customer / headquarter level for a defined market area and group of customers. This particular role will be primarily focused on UNFI. This role is responsible for achieving share, volume and financial objectives through effective execution of Colgate strategies and successful management of the Sales Agency team and effective Customer Collaboration.

 

Please note this role is preferably based in Rosemont, IL or Minneapolis CDO office given the headquarters locations of the primary customer. Additionally this role likely can be performed out of other CDO offices if an internal candidate is currently based there. We will consider internal candidates from other geographic field based locations. 

 

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.  Accordingly, all applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and must not require the Company's sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States. 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage group of customers in a defined market area, collaborating to drive results and achieve share, volume, and financial objectives

  • Work with Sales Agency Partners to handle information flow to third party retail teams

  • Lead the transition of Colgate objectives into specific customer strategies to enhance growth and business performance

  • Have P&L and financial responsibility

  • Drive Joint Business Planning (JBP) and customer collaboration opportunities 

  • Coach and lead Sales Agency Partners, sharing feedback, formal annual and mid-performance reviews to hold team accountable for individual and team objectives

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • 6+ years of Consumer Product Goods experience 

  • 2+ years of key customer account experience 

  • Microsoft Office or Google Suite proficiency (i.e, Sheets, Slides, Docs) 

  • Experience utilizing Colgate Business Planning reporting and planning system or customer planning software 



Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience working with a syndicated service (Nielsen, IRI) account

  • Previous people management or broker management experience


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $109,600.00 - $155,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
