The Associate Scientist/ Scientist Clinical Studies & Claims plays a key role in execution of consumer relevant and high impact pet clinical studies and development of associated package and marketing product claims.This Associate Scientist/ Scientist will have knowledge of data, database and project management.


Main Responsibilities:


Be a subject matter expert with respect to Hill’s product claims and in the databases used to organize them. Specific areas of responsibility will include coordination and administrator for a claims library and database system for all global and regional claims.

Develop an understanding of data generated from past and current clinical studies used to substantiate current claims and new claims for Hill's products.

Maintain clinical study databases, take lead to design and test clinical data forms, electronic data capture (EDC) forms, clinical apps and other clinical data collection systems.

Generate written materials related to pet clinical studies including initial study planning, SOP’s, training materials for external investigators and reports including, but not limited to, progress reports, status updates, interim reports and final study reports.

Support all types of clinical studies including but not limited to: monitoring of clinical studies, auditing study procedures, coordinating biological sample collection, shipment, analysis, and results to ensure projects stay on desired timelines. Coordinate and conduct data entry, verification, analysis and auditing for pet clinical studies.


Basic qualifications include:


● BS or BA degree 

● At least 2 years of work experience related to scientific studies or management of scientific or clinical data

● Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and experience using data management software


Preferred qualifications include:


● MS or PhD in Biological Sciences, Food Science, Nutrition, or related technical or scientific field

● MBA or Paralegal

● Experience with mobile applications, mobile applications design and user acceptance testing

● Relevant work experience in data management, clinical research or project management

● Experience in human healthcare research and/or livestock or pet food industry.

● Experience writing scientific reports

● Marketing or communications experience
