FIELD SALES MANAGER BELGIUM - WALLONIA

Job profile:

As a Field Sales Manager you are a key contributor to the team and a developmental position with a view to progressing within our business to achieve sales and 6P goals in the Veterinary and Pet Specialty channel. The role has the responsibility to support sales growth by implementing and ensuring the coverage plans and to coach, develop and manage the performance of 6 Territory Managers and is in charge of Small Key Account in the French speaking part of Belgium. You are representing Hill’s as the strategic partner of choice in small animal nutrition to customers. In this role you are reporting to the Customer Development Manager.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure execution with excellence of local 6P’s plans, in alignment with regional/local priorities.
  • Define of priorities/goals for customer development team members, in alignment with regional/local priorities.
  • Monitor the achievements of team members of sales and 6P’s plans; report to Customer Development manager on a weekly basis.
  • Participate in country commercial planning process; keep ongoing two / ways communication with country marketing & professional affairs to provide feedback on Hill’s commercial initiatives and insights on competitor’ activities.
  • Manage an agreed commercial regional budget to drive sales and recommendation.
  • Ensure performance and development processes within the customer development team; coach and train on the job to develop performance, prepare and implement plans for remedial action with team and individuals where necessary. Formalize duo days feedback in adequate coaching form.
  • Manage local small key accounts and wholesalers; lead or support annual negotiation with customer development member, execute agreed joint business plan and monitor investments.

 

Education/ Experience requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor degree required
  • University degree preferred

 

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Proven track of succesful commercial skills
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams
  • Knowledge of pet food speciality channels/ veterinary pharmaceutical market is a plus
  • Proficient skills in Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Customer Strategy and Financial proficiency
  • Presentation skills

 

Preferred experience: 

 

  • Minimal 5 years of work experience in customer development/ sales
  • Fluent in French and English, Dutch is a plus
