The Category Management Specialist is responsible for leading the whole Category Management Process by maximizing the principles, practices, and tools.


Main responsibilities:


Leading Category Management projects by applying Category Management principles and processes in cooperation with Customer Management  to drive incremental category and CP growth via:

  • Conducting Category analysis for Customers and Benchmark RE
  • Identifying gaps & opportunities for Category at Customer
  • Preparing portfolio analysis and recommendations for CP and competition
  • Recommending of strategy & tactics ( assortment, shelf arrangement for CP and competition)
  • Presenting CP recommendation to Customer and agreeing on final CatMan recommendations ( Strategy, portfolio, layout etc.)
  • Preparing planograms and monitoring implementations at stores
  • Revising implementation and its effectiveness vs. Benchmark
  • Recommending improvement plan in case Category growth at Customer is not in line with Category goals
  • Identifying Category opportunities by analyzing multiple data sources, market monitoring & Shopper observations.
  • Using the latest information systems and business analytical tools  (Nielsen, Dunnhumby, dm Extranet, Spacemen, Customer data) to support decision-making processes.
  • Communicating with the trade at the implementation phase, ensuring that account needs are addressed
  • Preparing planograms for Customers & CP promo activities.
  • Performing all the Manager’s requests related to area of responsibility.
  • Acting in accordance with “Competition Law”, “Rules of the Roads” and “Commercial Selling Principles”



  • University Degree
  • Very good English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent presentation and analytical skills
  • Proactivity in action and strong communication skills
  • PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in Category Management - will be an asset
