The Advanced Analytics Software Engineer designs, implements and deploys advanced data/image/video analytics and machine learning algorithms and solutions to solve complex business and customer problems. The Advanced Analytics Software Engineer partners with business and technical stakeholders to identify business and customer needs, evaluates trends and opportunities, and performs work to deliver advanced analytics solution to meet the needs. This position requires strong knowledge and background in image processing and image/video-based object detection, tracking, and pattern recognition.

Essential Responsibilities

• Identify, validate, and document business needs and requirements.

• Gather, research, and analyze system and operation processes/data to understand and formulate problems/opportunities.

• Identify and evaluate solution concepts, formulate core problems into tractable mathematical problems.

• Identify, validate, and document solution requirements.

• Review and analyze solution design alternatives, evaluate tradeoffs and risks.

• Develop, analyze, and document solution architecture, identify and document interface, application, and hardware requirements.

• Research and evaluate image/video/data analytics and machine learning algorithms and packages.

• Create software development and integration plans, test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.

• Design and develop software applications and algorithms to build analytic capabilities and decision support tools

• Design and develop tools to visualize complex relationships in data

• Perform testing; gather, analyze, and document test results.

• Research, validate, troubleshoot, and resolve system/software issues and provide technical support.

• Research and evaluate latest developments in pertinent machine learning and pattern recognition fields; and assesses suitability of application of relevant techniques in our applications.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field, Master’s degree, Ph.D. or degree in progress is a plus

• A minimum of 0-3 years of experience in developing image/video analytics algorithm and applications using various programming languages.

• Ability to define technical requirements and perform requirement analysis.

• Ability to create system/software architecture, design, and specifications.

• Ability to create system/software development and integration plans, test plans and test cases.

• Ability to create and implement advanced algorithms and software applications to solve real-world problems.

• Ability to perform system/software integration, installation, configuration, and testing.

• Knowledge of image/video-based object detection, matching, and tracking.

• Knowledge of open source image processing, computer vision, or machine learning libraries.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment and initiative.
