The Quality Specialist is responsible for developing, assigning responsibility, implementing and monitoring the Technology Center Master Quality Plan for Mechanical Oral Devices including Device + Chemistry 



Main Responsibilities:


  • Define and implement the site-specific Quality Plan, including Quality Management strategies, direction and policies with the goal of protecting the business, reducing variation and waste, and growing the business.
  • This includes the conformance to the Quality standards, compliance with cGMP’s, delivery of Quality training and driving Technology Transfer.
  • Enable the Technology Center to deliver consistent, safe and effective products by ensuring proper product design and development are documented and executed  
  • Execute final authority within the site to release, approve or reject packaging components, finished product and raw materials. 
  • Develop appropriate SOP’s, training programs and verification evaluation to confirm CAPA effectiveness.
  • Build relationships and foster teamwork with Product Development, Consumer Affairs, Local Marketing, Global and Local Packaging, and Divisional and local Supply Chain Management, EOHS, and FP&R, as well as outside consultants and suppliers.
  • Execute mock recall and recovery procedures for North America CM’s and issue final reports and correct any deficiencies.



Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related science (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality systems and cGMP compliance
  • Project management skills and time management skills
  • Experienced in data mining and advanced analytics
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; capable of influencing change
  • Capable of conducting effective training and evaluation of effectiveness


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of statistics and process capability measurement ( i.e. cp, cpk, etc.) is beneficial
  • Auditing skills and teamwork experience
