At Colgate-Palmolive Company, we offer an exceptional internship program within the Global Information Technology Department.  The IT Operations Analyst Internship for Colgate-Palmolive is a six-month paid internship, with the opportunity to extend. Our interns act as a key contact in our Production Control command center which handles all network, hardware, and business processes globally.


As a part of our IT Operations Analyst team, you will:

  • Learn about & ensure the effective operation of the systems environment through monitoring and resolving production issues
  • Supporting areas to include Oracle, SAP Unix , NT, WAN,LAN, Cisco systems and Enterasys
  • Working closely with a mentor and 2nd level support to ensure procedures and fixes are completed and systems are running as efficiently as possible
  • Reviewing system performance consistently, including alerts and notices, and taking appropriate action quickly to prevent downtime
  • Performing 2nd level support and problem solving for all Data Center systems to ensure the Colgate business is not impacted
  • Participating in daily operations such as tape backups, libraries, SAP recycles, printer setups, ISDN and KPI reporting
  • Working independently with staff in Shared Service Organizations (SSO's) to ensure that information is shared quickly and accurately to all appropriate group 
  • Working in teams to complete business and project goals


Internship Requirements

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Student Currently enrolled in bachelor’s or higher degree program; graduation date of January 2020 or beyond preferred.
  • Pursuing major in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business/IT Systems Management or related fields.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Flexible schedule, available a minimum of 20 hours per week with opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week in Piscataway, NJ.
  • Group operates on a 12 hour schedule, 7 days-a-week, 365 days-a-tear. Interns must be available to work off hours and weekends.
