As the LATAM Regulatory Affairs Manager at Hill’s Pet Nutrition, you will be the strategic architect of our regional compliance and market access. Beyond managing registrations, you will lead a high-performing team to navigate complex regulatory landscapes, ensuring our life-changing products reach pets across Latin America. We are looking for a visionary leader who balances technical mastery with operational excellence, transforming the regulatory function into a proactive business partner that drives regional growth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Market Access: Lead the end-to-end registration lifecycle across LATAM, anticipating regulatory shifts and crafting innovative strategies to overcome technical barriers.

  • Regulatory Advocacy & Claims: Partner with Marketing and R&D to provide creative, compliant solutions for product claims and digital campaigns that strengthen our brand equity.

  • Operational Excellence: Modernize internal processes (SOPs and Work Instructions) and leverage technology to increase team efficiency and minimize business risk.

  • Supply Chain & Trade Partnership: Oversee plant approvals, ingredient compliance, and import/export protocols, ensuring seamless cross-border operations and manufacturing agility.

  • Stakeholder Influence & External Relations: Represent Hill’s before key government bodies and industry associations across the region, influencing policy to benefit the pet food category.

  • People Leadership: Mentor and develop a resilient regional team, fostering a culture of accountability, cross-training, and continuous professional growth.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Food Science, Policy, or a related technical/business field.

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 3+ years specifically in Regulatory Affairs.

  • External Impact: Proven track record of interacting with trade associations and government ministries or regulatory agencies.

  • Languages: Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and developing direct reports.

  • Regional Expertise: Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks across multiple LATAM markets.

  • Digital Fluency: Experience with SAP (PDM module) and an interest in applying AI/automation tools to regulatory workflows.
