Role Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing daily Distribution Center (DC) operations to guarantee uninterrupted supply chain continuity, flawless customer dispatches, and sales fulfillment. This position oversees warehouse capacity, labor productivity (Ton/MH, CS/MH), inventory accuracy (cycle counts, Wall-to-Wall audits), and operating budget (OpEx) controls. A core challenge of this role is people leadership: inspiring shop-floor teams, coordinating shift rosters and payroll, and maintaining productive relations with unionized personnel and employee committees, all while driving continuous improvement and strict adherence to corporate EHS, Quality, and Facility Performance & Reliability (FP&R) standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • DC Operations & Dispatch Fulfillment: Direct daily warehouse execution and shift handovers, optimizing WMS slotting logic, stock rotation, and order picking/staging to ensure accurate, on-time customer dispatches and operational continuity.

  • Workforce & Labor Management: Lead, coach, and schedule operational shift teams (including weekend/holiday rosters, overtime, attendance, and vacations), resolving shop-floor conflicts and fostering constructive relationships with union representatives and worker committees.

  • Inventory Integrity & Quality Compliance: Oversee inventory control processes—including daily cycle counting, annual Wall-to-Wall physical inventories, and root-cause variance analyses—while managing blocked, restricted, or obsolete stock (SLOB) to mitigate financial risk.

  • Productivity, Budget & OpEx Control: Track and improve operational KPIs (Tons/Man-Hour, Cases/Man-Hour, fill rates), managing warehouse OpEx, labor costs, and operational budget allocations aligned with corporate financial targets.

  • Capacity & Warehouse Infrastructure: Monitor warehouse occupancy and utilization rates, designing agile contingency protocols for overcapacity, seasonal demand peaks, and equipment/system bottlenecks.

  • EHS, Quality & FP&R Standards: Foster a proactive safety culture through daily safety talks, Near-Miss reporting, and hazard elimination, guaranteeing strict compliance with environmental health, safety protocols, and corporate Facility Performance & Reliability (FP&R) audits.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven leadership experience managing high-volume warehouse operations or distribution centers (CPG/FMCG, retail, or manufacturing preferred).

  • Labor & Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience leading large operational teams and navigating union environments or worker committee dynamics, with proven ability to build trust and followership on the floor.

  • Systems & Platforms (Mandatory):

    • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and ERP platforms (specifically SAP - WM/EWM/SD/MM modules).

    • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and Data Analytics tools.

  • Technical Mastery:

    • Proven command of inventory methodologies (cycle counts, Wall-to-Wall, obsolescence mitigation).

    • Hands-on knowledge of Lean Warehousing, 5S, Kaizen, and root-cause problem solving.

    • Experience controlling warehouse OpEx budgets and labor cost tracking.

  • Languages: Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (capable of delivering business and operational presentations in English to senior leaders).

Desired Qualifications

  • AI & Digitalization: Practical exposure or interest in applying Artificial Intelligence tools and digital workflow automation to logistics and warehousing.

  • Project Management & Strategy: Experience leading warehouse modernization, automation pilots, or layout redesign initiatives.

  • FP&R / TPM Frameworks: Familiarity with Facility Performance & Reliability (FP&R) or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies applied to logistics infrastructure.
