MAIN PURPOSE:


The position is responsible for the replenishment of manufactured finished goods to Distribution Centers / based on forecast input by the local demand planners. Each planner is responsible for a subcategory, or part of a subcategory.  

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key contact for Production Planners in the manufacturing sites and Demand Planners in the Distribution Centres, to ensure the availability of the products at the Distribution Centers to fill our customer orders on time and complete whilst balancing against the right sized inventory.
  • Escalation to the Network Planning Managers when either are compromised
  • Utilise Advanced Planning Optimiser effectively to leverage system capabilities and share best practices across end users. 
  • Daily review and communication of Advanced Planning Optimiser alert messages to production planners
  • Provide regular Out of Stock reporting and take follow up actions on the replenishment side as applicable, to enable local subsidiaries to take appropriate action
  • Outline/challenge discrepancies between total subcategory demand and against actual sales trend to avoid  not necessary inventory build up or over commitment in production planning  
  • Coordinate replenishment of product launches, re-launches and product discontinuation
  • Maintain relevant master data
  • Achieve customer-focused Key Performance Indicators while managing inventory and distribution costs
  • Seek input from internal and external customers about their needs and expectations to continually improve the replenishment process and the inventory management
     

Qualifications:

  • ​​An University Degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in the supply planning field
  • Fluent in English
  • Practical knowledge of MS Office skills (Excel/Access)
  • Practical knowledge of Google Tools (Gmail, Google sheets, Google drive)
  • Autonomous, results oriented, promoting team-work, problem solving
  • Project management, analytical and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • SAP APO experience is an advantage
