We are looking for a Scientific Affairs Manager for our team in Austria to lead our professional oral health agenda in the local market. In this role, you will design and deliver impactful educational programs for current and future dental professionals, strengthening their awareness, conviction, recommendation, prescription, and usage of our consumer and professional products. You will secure and expand branded ambassadorship across dental and non-dental influencers, building strong advocacy networks that shape professional recommendations and patient choices. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Delivers Country Educational Programs: Develops and implements educational programs for current and future dental professionals to increase awareness, conviction, recommendation, prescription, and usage of consumer and professional products.

  • Secures Branded Ambassadorship: Fosters branded ambassadorship and multiplication among dental and non-dental influencers who are relevant in influencing dental professionals, driving recommendation, prescription, and usage of consumer and professional products.

  • Builds Relationships and Leverages Dental Public Health Structures: Establishes relationships and utilizes Dental Public Health structures and non-dental Oral Health influencers relevant to consumer brand choice for advocacy and recommendation of brands to patients and consumers.

  • Builds Brand Ambassadorship with Dental Students: Cultivates brand ambassadorship with dental students during their education, leading to a trusted brand loyalty after graduation

  • Responsible for 1P data collection, leveraging our Professional digital ecosystem

  • Leading the local Youth health education and program in line with the HUB Youth Health Strategy,  with a focus on youth health organisation relationships, leading with relevant authorities

  • Responsible for internal trainings to upskill the local organisation on Scientific expertise, i.e. Knowledge training for Territory Manager, training on technologies for the internal organisation

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in dentistry, dental hygiene, pharmacy, biomedical sciences, or a related health science. Bachelor’s degree minimum, advanced degree (DDS/DMD, MSc) is a plus
    Experience: min. 3–5+ years in dental/medical education, MSL, clinical affairs, or academic liaison

  • Scientific expertise: Strong understanding of cariology, periodontology, enamel/erosion/whitening science, fluoride technologies, stannous/arginine/zinc systems, sensitivity mechanisms, and oral microbiome

  • Evidence appraisal: Ability to read and translate clinical studies, meta-analyses, in-vitro/in-vivo data, and real-world evidence into clear educational narratives

  • KOL engagement: Proven experience identifying, onboarding, and managing KOLs, speakers, and academic partners; confident moderating advisory boards and roundtables

  • Education design: Skilled in adult learning principles, curriculum design, case-based teaching, and building decks, workshops, and hands-on sessions for both KOLs and students

  • Presentation excellence: Outstanding public speaking and facilitation skills for lectures, webinars, and congress symposia; able to tailor content to academic vs. practitioner audiences

  • Compliance and claims: Working knowledge of EU/AT/CH rules for cosmetics and medical devices, scientific claims substantiation, and ethical promotion to HCPs.

  • EU: Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 (cosmetics), MDR for any device-related items

  • National implementation of EU cosmetics rules, plus local advertising and professional conduct codes

  • Scientific communication: Turn complex science into crisp, credible narratives with clear claims, benefits, limitations, and proper references

  • Stakeholder mapping: Identify leading universities, associations, clinics, and student bodies; maintain stakeholder plans and speaker bureaus

  • Instructional tools: Proficient with Google keynote design, LMS platforms, webinar tools, and basic video/asset creation

  • Data ethics and pharmacovigilance: Recognize and route product complaints, adverse events, and quality issues; maintain training records and approvals

  • Measurement and impact: Define KPIs (reach, engagement, knowledge lift, referral/advocacy, content quality scores) and report outcomes.

  • Project management: Build roadmaps, manage budgets, timelines, and vendors; keep documentation audit-ready

  • Cultural agility: Navigate academic cultures and regional nuances across AT: communicate respectfully and inclusively

  • Digital savviness, especially regarding digital and remote presentation & engagement tools

  • German (C1+) and very good level of English

  • Field readiness ( approx. 60% of travel): Comfortable with frequent travel across Austria: able to manage university and clinic calendars and congress circuits
