In today’s dynamic retail environment, it is an exciting time to be a part of the Retail Marketing team at Colgate. Our highly results-oriented and focused team works across Oral Care, Home Care, Personal Care, and our Naturals category, and is dedicated to driving growth for Colgate Palmolive in this constantly evolving landscape. 


As the Associate Retail Marketing Manager, you will contribute to the national strategy across all categories, focusing on key objectives to improve sales results, market share and financial return. The essence of this job is to partner with the Sales team and be forward thinking about innovative opportunities for retailers. You are connected across the commercial organization from Sales to Marketing to Supply Chain to ensure efficient and effective execution of brand and retail strategies. You’ll apply data insights to explore new opportunities and to address day-to-day business situations. By evaluating historical performance of 5P activities and considering forward thinking trends, you’ll develop deep insights, communicate meaningful recommendations, and allocate commercial investment to continue building share growth.

 

What you will do:

Project Management:

  • Executes and manages shopper marketing programs across multiple retailer accounts.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, including Marketing, Sales, and Retail Marketing partners, to align shopper marketing initiatives with broader organizational goals and ensure cohesive execution across all channels.
  • Responsible for artwork application, legal review, revisions, and liaising with the agency to ensure a seamless rollout.
  • Proactively track progress and identify potential delays, mitigating risks to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Utilize project management tools to maintain a comprehensive tracker for all ongoing projects, ensuring transparency and timely updates on project statuses.


Display Management:

  • Lead weekly calls with the Activation Manager and agency partners to oversee and manage the artwork application process.
  • Manage all display-related revisions, timelines, and legal reviews.
  • Ensure all displays adhere to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and quality standards.


Flyer Requests and Artwork Coordination:

  • Lead and manage promotional flyer requests from initial brief to execution.
  • Collaborate with the Shopper Marketing Manager, Brand, and Sales to ensure creative aligns with strategy.
  • Responsible for downloading packshot and assets, briefing agency partners.
  • Oversee creative development and legal reviews, ensuring timely delivery of final artwork that aligns with brand objectives.


Content Development and E-commerce Optimization:

  • Lead bi-weekly meetings with the content development team to ensure e-commerce projects stay on schedule.
  • Regularly audit e-commerce sites to verify content accuracy, maintain brand compliance, and enhance user experience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement content adjustments based on audit findings.


Ad Hoc Requests:

  • Manage website updates as needed, ensuring accuracy and communicating changes to the US lead when necessary.
  • Handle sample material requests by organizing and distributing product samples.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to fulfill packshot requests by providing the necessary images.
  • Manage logo requests, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and prompt delivery to requestors.
  • Be ready to quickly address any unexpected or miscellaneous project needs as they occur.

It’s important to understand business trends in each category and/or account through fact-based analysis to include brand share, pricing, promotion levels, and trade class development along with understanding the efficiency of different investment levers.

Your focus on the small details ensures that every project is executed flawlessly, maintaining high-quality standards and driving effective results in all initiatives.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing roles or adjacent experiences 

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with a syndicated service (Nielsen, IRI) account 
  • Experience working in consumer packaged goods 
  • Microsoft Office or Google Suite proficiency (i.e., Sheets, Slides, Docs)
