Job Summary

  • Act as a bridge between the core SAP ERP backend and the wider enterprise ecosystem.

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end technical solutions, ensuring that custom backend logic seamlessly connects with cloud and third-party applications.

  • Drive digital transformation while maintaining a "Clean Core" architectural strategy.

  • Provide a powerful expertise in SAP ABAP development

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain robust backend code using Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP).

  • Design and build Core Data Services (CDS) Views and develop custom APIs using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) or Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).

  • Create, extend, and debug standard SAP integration objects such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Proxy frameworks.

  • Implement custom business logic while strictly adhering to SAP’s "Clean Core" extensibility guidelines.

  • Conduct performance tuning for high-volume data transfers across both the ABAP and API layers.

  • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and architectural guidance on when to build logic in the ERP core versus on the integration layer (SAP BTP).

Required Qualifications

(Education, Knowledge required, Skills (language & other), etc.)

  • 5+ years of core hands-on experience in SAP technical development.

  • Strong expertise in OO-ABAP, Enhancement Framework (BAdIs, User Exits), and SQL performance tuning.

  • Hands-on experience with S/4HANA, CDS Views, OData service creation (SEGW or RAP), and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

  • Proficiency in ABAP, along with working knowledge of APIs

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to debug ambiguous, cross-system issues.

  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical architectures into business-friendly language.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across functional business teams and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP for SAP S/4HANA.

  • Good understanding of business processes - SAP O2I , SAP FI 

  • Exposure to non-SAP middleware or enterprise service buses (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services).
