Job Purpose
Team Leader-Quality  is responsible for developing, assigning responsibility, implementing and monitoring the site’s Master Validation Plan. This includes delivery of training and execution of methodologies to enable the manufacturing site to produce a product that meets its predetermined specification and quality attribute. He/ She is also responsible for managing validation master plan for all equipment’s & processes at the site. The individual will also participate in Divisional and Corporate Quality Audits. He/she will assist in developing and mentoring the site’s Quality competency and capability. The individual will leverage audit results and other data based KPI's to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities and reduce variation and waste in process.He/she will build relationships and common programs with Product Development (both local RTC and Global Technology Center(s)), Local Marketing, Global and Local Packaging, and Divisional and local Supply Chain Management, Quality, EOHS,LMS departments as well as outside consultants and suppliers 

Core Responsibilities

  • To ensure SOP for validation is in place & communicate the process effectively to entire plant operation team.

  • To incorporate best practices in master validation plan ,benchmarking international subsidiaries.

  • To ensure a documented validation process for entire operational equipment & processes in the plant.

  • To train team members on validation process & monitor closely on compliance level

  • To take entire charge of any kind of validation process in plant & communicate as well as document results effectively for all kinds of references.

  • Pursues efficient development paths and opportunities to drive speed to market;

  • Ensures new TB product bundles achieve target cost, and works to identify ongoing margin improvement opportunities

  • Advocates and drives product, materials, process, and package standardization and simplification;

  • Coordinates TB bundles development activities across all functions

  • Uses a systematic project management approach to share technical data, performance results, product and package evaluations, product timelines, risks and information

  • Documents and communicates the technical transfer bundle to the plant floor for efficient implementation;

  • Ensures the feasibility and robustness of product, packaging,and process designs;

  • Ensures products are commercialized in accordance with quality, EOHS, product safety and regulatory standards

  • Understands industry/competitive trends, consumer insight tools, market research methodologies and claim substantiation

  • Identifies and implements technical innovation in new TB products;

  • Applies statistical concepts, packages, and design of experiments;

  • Demonstrates creativity and uses appropriate technologies in generation designs and models;

  • Supervising/Managing the operators & technicians

  • Help Team to set priorities

  • Evaluating and documenting the performance of all operators & technicians as required.

  • Must be on-site to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by certain individuals.

  • Monitors, tests, analyses and examines to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.

  • Provides day to day supervision of personnel performing high complexity testing.

  • Resolving technical problems in the Quality Equipment and ensuring corrective actions are taken whenever the product deviates from the established performance specifications.

  • Providing orientation to all quality personnel.

  • Act as effective interface between Leadership and Operating Teams to communicate operating level concerns and Leadership team decisions

  • Ensure that quality related data in SAP and Shop Floor is accurately maintained

  • Communicates critical quality issues to Manager Quality

  • Develop teams through coaching & feedback

  • Drive ownership

  • Sets the example

 

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in FMCG industry with Quality & production management experience.
  • Preferred Experience : Minimum 2 years Experience in manufacturing and management of materials, safety, Quality and hands on people management in a facility. Exposed to working in shift  with large manpower.


Professional Qualifications & Training

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Science / technical stream from any recognized university.

  • Preferred -Packaging Engineer with strong knowledge & experience in Tooth brush manufacturing.

  • Priority setting /Analysis/Decision Making, Planning/teamwork & collaboration, Effective Execution, Influence & negotiation, Set example by leading from front, Good Communication skills.
