Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep understanding of customers to drive business results and create competitive advantage

  • Build engagement with customers to gain commitment to a joint business plan that delivers superior business results

  • Effectively manage trade spending and ensuring meaningful ROI

  • Effectively coordinate with distributor's sales force/merchandising team to implement 5Ps with excellence

 

Day-to-Day Responsibility

  • Meet customers and build support for Colgate business

  • Build relationship and deep understanding of the customers strategy, priorities and needs and effectively translate them into superior customer plans

  • Use analytics to drive fact based conversations and effective negotiations

  • Provide insights to RM/SDM and work with relevant parties to develop improvement plans/programs

  • Visit stores and check compliance to 5Ps plan, identifying causes for gaps and developing action plans to close them

  • Propose sales order during every store visit, consistently check for correct product assortment, effective utilization of POP and availability of pricing

  • Monitor sales and distribution performance, probing distributor representatives to understand causes for gaps and ensuring they are giving the right attention to close the gaps

  • Coordinate with distributor representatives on execution of business plans; new product distribution, display plans, promotional events, detailing etc

  • Track and manage trade spending to within approved budget  

  • Manage, track and build  brick and mortar dot com with buyers. Participate in key campaigns, drive brand exposure and deliver growth and ROI
     

Leadership / Supervision

  • Provide leadership to distributor's sales force and merchandising team to ensure clear understanding and delivery of Colgate's standards

  • Engage with distributor and merchandising agency leadership teams to ensure appropriate support to Colgate's business 

 

What does the ideal candidate profile look like? 

  • Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (marketing, business, communications, etc.)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Modern Trade and omnichannel management

  • Self-starter who can work well both independently and across multi-level stakeholder groups

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to drive executional excellence and business results

  • Strong commercial understanding and analytical skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to change in a fast paced environment

  • Proficient in Google suite of products (especially in Sheets, Docs & Slides)

  • Proficient in English

  • Proven ability in data analysis
