Entry salary range: 109.225 Euro - 134.925 Euro gross anually. The salary range is determined by the position’s classification within the company’s compensation system. To this end, the requirements of the position are objectively evaluated, particularly the necessary skills, workload, responsibilities, and working conditions.

The PVA Senior Manager North Europe Hub,  serves on a multi-country hub leadership team and works collaboratively to lead professional engagement in the hub, applying central strategies to the local markets and leading their deployment by the PVA country teams.  Successful execution will develop veterinary professionals as passionate advocates for Hill’s brands and earn recommendation, use and trust; ultimately supporting broader commercial objectives within the cluster and contributing to sales and market share growth. 

PVA hub teams’ activities center around all elements of professional engagement and focus on  many target audiences within the profession.  Through its activities, the team demonstrates Hill’s commitment to the profession, elevates the role of nutrition in clinic protocols, showcases Hill’s scientific leadership and communicates Hill’s product superiority.   The PVA Senior Manager ensures these activities are fully integrated and synchronized with each country's activity grid and are in service of  the broader commercial objectives within the countries and hub.  The individual manages team resources and ensures activities drive a strong return on investment (whether in the short or long term) as measured through hub-wide Key Performance Indicators.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & People Management: Supervise, coach, and develop the local teams (Associate PVA Manager and Professional Consulting Veterinarians (PCVs)) across the hub's countries. Build a high-performing team by providing strategic direction, ensuring alignment of local execution with hub goals, and fostering organizational capabilities.  Support talent development and career planning. 

  • Lead Deployment of Professional Engagement Strategy: 

    • Academic & Professional Affairs: Guide the Associate PVA Manager in localizing and applying central strategies to the country / hub, supporting their efforts as they lead engagement with tier 1 veterinary schools, at congresses and with trade associations.  Oversee their efforts as they work with the Manager, Education, Training and Professional CRM to deploy content in the countries and coordinate country-level plans for technical training, and as they provide case consultation services to veterinary professionals.

    • In-Field Execution:  Work closely with the Sr. Manager / Director Veterinary Affairs, informing plans to leverage PCVs as commercially-minded Subject Matter Experts and integral members of the field organization.  Lead effective execution and deploy plans to maximize PCVs’ customer-facing time.

    • Budgeting, Compliance & Digital Strategy: Coordinate the hub PVA budget, share best practices, and ensure timely KPI reporting across the region. Champion professional digital initiatives across the cluster to increase engagement and drive recommendation. Ensure all communications to customers and consumers consistently meet the professional, ethical, legal and regulatory standards demanded by the veterinary community and the corporation.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • DVM (or equivalent country qualification)

  • At least 6-8+ years of experience in veterinary clinical practice and/or animal health industry (corporate) roles, including experience in customer-facing role(s)

  • Fluent in English

  • Proficient in Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in people management and in leading cross-border teams.
  • A strong, established network in the veterinary community, including with local small animal veterinary associations and specialist societies.

  • Fluent in the primary language of the cluste

  • Experience using AI-powered tools
