What would be the responsibilities for this role? 

The scope of this role comprises the South ASEAN Hub (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia), across all categories where responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

Budget / Latest Estimates Planning : 

  • Own the preparation of  budgets/latest estimations and work towards delivering these plans with commercial team

  • Prepare Budget Financial Analysis including Category & Brand P&L, Sales Growth Analysis, Price Analysis, Trade Spending Analysis, Margin Analysis, Non-Variable Overhead Analysis

  • Explore opportunities to use budget & planning effective procedures and simplify process

 

Category / Brand Analysis

  • Conduct Financial Analysis including Category & Brand Profitability Analysis, Sales Growth Analysis, Price Analysis, Consumer & Customer Trade Spending Analysis, Margin Analysis, Non-Variable Overhead Analysis. 

  • Partner with Commercial Team and Marketing counterparts, in order to provide key financial information/business analysis and support them on financial calculations relating to New Product launches, Pricing or Promotion, Hypothetical P&Ls and Strategic Plans preparations.

  • Provide analysis and financial information to support Management and Commercial Team, in the monthly Management and Commercial meetings in order to make right decision on business growth strategy and execution

  • Conduct Feasibility Study of New Product, Enhancement for Margin Improvement.

  • Monitor and Control NVO’s and Advertising funds and Premium spending related accrual accounts of actual spending vs. budget.

 

Reporting

  • Generate Month End Closing Reporting Package to Corporate

  • Monitor/Verify accuracy of financial information in the SAP/BI/CBP systems in the responsible category.

  • Supervise Budget Sales and identify GAP

  • Support Financial Projects

 

NVO’s / Advertising Control & Premium IO

  • Monitor and Control NVO’s and Advertising funds and Premium spending related accrual accounts of actual spending vs. budget.

 

What does the ideal candidate profile look like? 

  • Holds a degree or equivalent experience in accountancy or professional accounting qualifications (ACCA/CPA)

  • Minimum seven years of work experienced in FP&A, Budget Planning, Planning analysis, Commercial Finance, Financial Analysis or related field

  • Budget planning, P&L and Balance Sheet experienced is preferable

  • Proven experience as a business partner to the commercial functions (Sales/Marketing) due to overall business understanding & perspective.

  • Capable of delivering high quality and accurate work while respecting short lead times due to strong planning & priority setting

  • Ownership & initiative to drive and ensure efficient business tracking & understanding throughout the company

  • Proven strategic and analytical thinking capability

  • Self-starter who can work well both independently and across multi-level stakeholder group

  • Sophisticated Microsoft Excel/ Google Sheet skills
