About the role

Reporting to the Group Team Leader, the Customer Development Manager – is responsible for owning the business plan, achieving sales targets and growing market share from Indirect Trade Tier 1 retailers.

Critical to this exciting role, is an ability to work within a team. You will be a key member of the Indirect team and work very closely with all functions of the business to drive growth outcomes. 

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Building and managing successful relationships with key partners
  • Development of joint business plans, including promotional strategy & action plans to close customer gaps, including post-event analysis and recommendations 
  • Lead future growth opportunities
  • Supervising sales and distribution performance, particularly for new products, and taking timely action to drive continuous improvement
  • Implementing and maintaining Category Management initiatives within customers, developed in partnership with the Shopper Development Manager 
  • Coordinating special events in co-operation with Marketing and Retail Marketing

 

Skills & Experience

  • Success in this role will come through relevant experience as a Key Account Manager within the FMCG industry.
  • Degree or equivalent experience qualified, you will be able to demonstrate success in the grocery channel in relation to negotiation, analytical ability, building long-term relationships and you will hold a high level of commercial and intuition for business (including a strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and IRI Temple/Nielsen).
  • The successful candidate will possess a growth mindset, be solutions focussed, results-oriented attitude and an aim to develop and progress within the business.
