Role Summary

As a Customer Development Manager, you will lead a high-performing sales team to dominate the retail environment through strategic distributor management and world-class 5P execution. You will serve as the pivotal link between Colgate-Palmolive and our partners, driving sustainable financial growth and numerical distribution across the CARICOM markets. This role offers the unique opportunity to anticipate demand chain shifts and implement innovative solutions that stimulate profitable volume growth for our iconic brands.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth & Distribution: Lead the sales team to achieve ambitious volume and distribution targets by developing comprehensive business plans for distributors that align with Colgate’s goals and consumer needs
  • Operational Excellence: Monitor distributor performance, Gross-to-Net, and working capital, while ensuring optimal inventory levels and high-tier customer service structures
  • Commercial Execution: Drive "Winning at the Shelf" by ensuring 5P tactics and demand marketing initiatives are executed with excellence across the wholesaler network
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a strategic advisor to distributor managers and field sales teams, providing regular analysis of results and competitive tactics to ensure a sustainable market position
  • Driving Partner Excellence: Empower distributor sales forces by providing the necessary tools, skills, and coaching required to deliver exceptional execution against established KPIs

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or commercial roles
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Previous experience with MS Office or Google Suite
  • Advanced English

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience within the FMCG industry
  • Presentation skills
  • Proven experience working with diverse teams and third-party service providers
  • Basic proficiency in understanding P&L
