This position is responsible for supporting key activities around selecting, negotiating, contracting and training transportation companies. Likewise, this position is responsible for developing tools, operational and performance reports. Moreover, this position is responsible for leading projects and continuous improvement initiatives for the logistics operations function. Also, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining KPIs for the transportation function. Finally, this position is responsible for establishing a close working relationship with peers and managers of several functional organizations responsible for fulfilling customer orders.
Responsibilities
- Support key activities around selecting, negotiating, contracting and training transportation companies for F2C, Replenishment (Intra WH and in MH Plant)
- Lead E2E transformation to leverage carrier expertise, capacity and synergies to fulfill business needs.
- Lead Transportation Automatization process, implementing systems and tools to get traceability.
- Develop tools and operational reports to support the decision making process in the transportation arena with the aim of balancing cost and service.
- Control the spend on freight to customer and replenishment cost, to maintain its below the budget.
- Lead projects and continuous improvement initiatives with focus on cost savings, fleet capacity, RG adherence, carrier allocation, route determination, reverse logistics schemes, Track & Trace and Proof of Delivery processes, among others
- Develop and maintain KPIs for the transportation function
- Establish a close working relationship with the CBS Transportation, Warehousing, Patrimonial Security, among others functions to ensure alignment and team work toward achieving common goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Business Administration
- At least 5-7 years of experience managing transportation processes and carrier selection and contract
- Bilingual Spanish - English
- Knowledge of the transportation industry in MEX
- Project management skills
- Experience in people management
- Experience managing SAP and any TMS, Advanced MS Office
Preferred qualifications include:
- Work experience in multinational CPG companies
- Work experience in Logistics Operations
