Resume of The Position:

 

The project engineer is the one who defines and takes the Leadership of the execution of the plans and/or activities for the execution of the assigned projects, including equipment, layout or distribution of the installation site, the acceptance parameters with the process variables to be met, for the purchase of equipment, prepares the purchase requisitions for the acquisition of equipment, materials, facilities, methods, inputs, human resources, for the corresponding works and complementary works including safety and environmental protection devices, among others.

 

Evaluates, plans, develops and implements Engineering projects in the manufacturing areas to meet the requirements of the manufacturing processes, including the evaluation of options, generation of technical specifications and scope for the purchase of equipment and facilities, the development of drawings and installation arrangements until their approval, monitoring of the transportation and importation of equipment, mechanical and electrical installation, field supervision of the facilities to ensure compliance with the installation standards and procedures approved by the equipment manufacturer, knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing guidelines in the manufacturing industry. ufacturer of personal care products, the generation of the parameters and variables of acceptance and control of the process, the training of the personnel, the acceptance tests and until its complete validation and financial closure of the project.

 

Responsibilities:

Engineer who has the skills to analyze, model and solve problems related to manufacturing from the perspective of ensuring the quality of products and processes, designing and installing equipment, valves, pipes, instruments, water, air, steam, electricity, gas services, control systems, tanks and/or mechanical parts and their manufacturing process.

Responsible for the technical and engineering disciplines necessary to complete a project with the required training of the operating personnel and documenting 100% of the facilities and equipment for their corresponding validation. The project engineer works to plan projects, establish the acceptance criteria of the project with the FF, coordinate project reviews, guarantee the adequate implementation of the project elements, compliance with the Quality and productivity objectives within the framework of Safety for its operation.

 

Required knowledge:

  1. EOHS Standards and Industrial Work Safety for maneuvers and execution of works with contractor personnel.
  2. Guides and standards of GMP's and C&S
  3. Degree completed in Chemical or Electrical Engineering
  4. Management of SAP
  5. Management of Excel programs, Project, English Language 70%
  6. Methodology for Personnel Supervision and Planning
  7. Methodology for quality control establishing parameters according to corresponding standards
  8. Methodology for project management
  9. Communication and teamwork
  10. Interpretation of P&ID's, flow diagrams, plans, electrical force, pneumatic and control diagrams

 

General activities:

  1. Compliance with EOHS standards
  2. Comply with the Quality and FP&R standards
  3. Planning and control in time, quality and budget of the assigned projects
  4. Follow-up with Purchasing until the assignment of purchase orders necessary for the execution of the project.
  5. Supervision in the field and ensuring the quality and acceptance parameters of the assigned projects.
  6. Monitoring of concurrent compliance with the validation of each of the assigned projects
  7. Evaluation and analysis of manufacturing projects including estimates, p.point presentations and project progress reports.
  8. Document with the detailed information of the support of each project, with the specifications, Quality certificates, preliminary tests, operation parameters and critical variables of acceptance for the corresponding Quality Validation.

 

What you need for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or any Engineer 
  • Minimum 4 years of verifiable experience in similar positions.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes (desirable)
  • English 70%
  • Experience in personnel management
