Entry salary range: 69955 euros - 86415 euros gross per year.

The salary range is determined by the position’s classification within the company’s compensation system. To this end, the requirements of the position are objectively evaluated, particularly the necessary skills, workload, responsibilities, and working conditions.

The Professional Consulting Veterinarian (PCV) is part of the Professional Veterinary Affairs (PVA) team and works closely with the Customer Development team to execute the veterinary professional education strategy under the guidance of the senior PVA Manager. Their primary purpose is to influence practice success and recommendation for Hill’s through nutritional education and coaching This position also serves as the technical liaison for the local Customer Development team, consulting, coaching and training Territory Managers. 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the Field Sales Team’s technical, product, communication and seminar delivering expertise through ongoing TM training and field coaching

  • Influence practice success through nutritional and practice management education within practice healthcare teams primarily focusing on large practices

  • Support the field team and other departments with technical and scientific advice

  • Execute the European school strategy by closely collaborating with and providing support to universities and nurse schools in the PCV area, including driving the staff and student feeding program

  • Staff Hill's exhibit booth at national/regional/specialty conferences building relationships, providing vet insights and influencing conference attendees to recommend and sell Hill's products

  • Drive Professional Digital Engagement 2.0 for veterinary partners through digital education and other collaboration and engagement tools for the country as directed by the senior PVAM

Education/ Experience Requirements:

 

Basic qualifications include:

  • University Degree in Veterinary Medicine

  • Current veterinary license

  • At least 2-3 years of experience working in the area of small animal clinical practice and/or field team

  • Basic understanding of business terminology

  • Strong work ethic, professional appearance and approach, high integrity

  • Self-motivated and highly competitive

  • Excellent communication skills, good story-telling capabilities

  • Fluency in German & English

 

Preferred qualifications include: 

  • Proficient in Google collaboration tools, experience using AI powered tools

  • Must be able to work independently, manage a demanding schedule with irregular hours and manage travel within the area to deliver internal and external customer visits/training; some overnight travel required
