The Filorga Cosmetics Legal Department is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel for a permanent position based in Paris.
Your Role
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be a strategic business partner, providing expert guidance on contract law, consumer law, economic law, and corporate law. You will work in an international and cross-functional environment, collaborating with key departments such as marketing, Customer Department, supply chain & procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Contracts & Negotiation: drafting and negotiation of strategic agreements, including selective/exclusive distribution agreements, co manufacturing contracts, service provider contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Corporate Law & Governance: oversee and manage corporate legal formalities for group subsidiaries.
- Compliance: ensure compliance to the legal framework where Filorga operates mainly in terms of competition law, distribution and consumer law, privacy law, sustainability law.
Ensure compliance with Filorga procedures and policies.
Conduct training.
- Legal Advice & Strategy: proactive support for commercial and marketing teams in their daily legal challenges (claims approval, negotiation or termination of contracts, commercial disputes, litigation …) . Contribution to the continuous improvement of legal procedures..
Your Profile
Experience & Expertise
- Master’s degree (LL.M. or equivalent) in Business Law, International Business Law, or Corporate Law.
- Between 7 and 10 years of experience in a senior legal counsel role, preferably in the dermo-cosmetic industry within an international environment.
- Strong knowledge of the legal framework of annual negotiation with French Customers (retailers) .
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic regulation, distribution and consumer law
Key Skills
- Extensive experience in contract negotiation and drafting, particularly in an international setting.
- Strong analytical and risk management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and handle complex legal projects.
- Business-oriented mindset with a pragmatic approach.
Languages & IT Tools
- Fluent English and French (written & spoken), with strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
- Proficient in google applications (Drive, Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
