Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose
We are seeking a bright, ambitious, and commercially-minded Chartered Accountant with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic Customer Development (CD) Finance team.
This is not a traditional accounting role. You will be a key business partner to the Revenue Growth Manager (RGM), diving deep into the financial analytics that power our sales and distribution strategies. Your work will directly influence profitability, channel investments, and process efficiency. If you are a CA who loves to move beyond reporting and use your analytical skills to drive tangible business growth, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will be split across three key areas:
1. Commercial Analytics & ROI Assessment
- Trade & Marketing ROI: Conduct deep-dive analysis on the effectiveness of our investments. This includes:
- Distributor & Trade Promotions ROI
- E-commerce media effectiveness
- ROI on DT promoters
- Financial assessment of visibility programs
- Commercial Strategy:
- Perform detailed trade structure cost analytics to identify savings and optimization opportunities.
- Lead the analysis and overhaul of the IDT subsidy program, providing recommendations to improve its financial structure and impact.
2. Process Improvement & Automation
- Automation: Champion the automation and simplification of the inventory audit program, working closely with the CDO (Customer Development Operations) team.
- Process Re-engineering: Drive the successful implementation of process changes for inventory audits, ensuring seamless adoption and robust controls.
- Audit Management: Own and refine the distributor audit program, enhancing control measures and operational efficiency.
3. Program Management & Financial Execution
- Channel Finance: Support the expansion and management of the stockiest credit program and explore new bank financing options to support our channel partners.
- Project Management: Serve as the finance execution partner for key strategic initiatives ensuring on-ground execution aligns with financial targets.
Required Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) (batch of 2022-2024).
- Experience: 1-2 years of post-qualification experience, preferably from a top audit firm (Articledship) or in an FMCG/Retail corporate finance role.
- Analytical Horsepower: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. You must be comfortable with ambiguity and large datasets.
- Advanced Excel: Proven mastery of MS Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, financial modeling).
- Proactive & Assertive: A self-starter with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude and the confidence to partner with and challenge senior stakeholders.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Prior experience in Commercial Finance, Sales Finance, or Revenue Growth Management (RGM).
- Experience in the FMCG, Retail, or E-commerce sectors.
- Exposure to automation projects or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
