Job Summary
Drive veterinary leadership in Asia countries by increasing use, awareness, endorsement, recommendation and sales of the company products.
The individual:
▪ manages and leads the development of the professional relationships with the veterinary community in Asia
▪ co-ordinates PVA activities across Asia countries
▪ strengthens our product superiority messaging and scientific communications
▪ leads educational efforts about small animal nutrition internally and externally, face-to-face and digitally
▪ develops programmes for veterinary schools & faculties
▪ leads the consumer affairs team
Work closely with Global Professional & Veterinary Affairs (GPVA) and Asia marketing to integrate commercial and professional strategies and activities, driving increased in BRMO, Sales and Market Shares
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (in cooperation with local PVA Managers & Distributors)
% Task
20% Professional Relations with key thought leaders
▪ Develops and manages programs for engaging regional key thought leaders and specialists that will result in increased endorsement, recommendation and sales of the company products
▪ Develops personal relationships with key opinion leaders of regional relevance
▪ Leverages key opinion leaders for seminars, symposia, speaker tours
15% Associations and Congresses
▪ Develops and maintains personal relationships with key contacts in major regional and local associations and societies
▪ In coordination with the local teams, creates annual plans for Hill’s presence and activities at congresses with appropriate level of sponsorship
15% Universities & Schools
▪ Together with Academic Relation Mgr, develops and implements programs for universities & schools
20% Education
▪ Sets the strategy for internal training & education about small animal nutrition
▪ Together with the Field team, provides customer focused training & education
▪ Sets the strategy for regional scientific events
▪ Is responsible for the regional roll out and success of the Hill’s Partner Academy
▪ Leads the regional nurse/student/recent grad strategy
25% Coordinate PVA efforts with subsidiaries & distributors
▪ Develops regional professional vet affairs activity grids aligned with the overall commercial priorities
▪ Be part of the global PVA strategy group
▪ Ensure that all Hill’s contacts and communications consistently meet the professional, ethical and regulatory standards demanded by the veterinary community and the corporation
5% People Management
▪ Lead the local PVA teams in executing the regional strategies
▪ Supports the academic relations manager
▪ Ensures succession planning is in place for all professional teams
▪ Develops and holds regular meetings with the regional PVA leaders
▪ Lead the consumer affairs team to provide top-class service to consumers (where applicable)
▪ Design a digital solution for countries that do not have a local prof. consultation service

Education/ Experience
Minimum education and experience requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in veterinary medicine
- DVM required, preferably specialist status
- Must have practice management or business experience
- Experience working in industry (pet food preferred, pharmaceutical company possible)
- Fluent in English (written and oral) and at least one Asian language (Japanese or Mandarin preferred)
Preferably:
- An active member of relevant local and/or international veterinary societies and bodies
- Considered a respected leader in the veterinary community with established network

- Internal customers: consumer/customer marketing, customer development, GM, legal/regulatory, supply chain, and CS&L teams Asia regions; GMs local countries
- External customers: the role is the most senior regional interface with local KTLs
Travel Requirements
Expected percentage of travel: Up to 30%
