This role is a part of the CEW Consumer Experience team and brings to life a strategic part of our 2030 vision, enabling a step change in driving Colgate Palmolive’s ability to leverage data as a strategic asset and continue making Revenue Growth Management (RGM) an integral enabler to achieve our goals.
The role of the Manager, Revenue Growth Management is to maximise revenue and profit by leading the RGM process based on a strong cross functional collaboration with Marketing, Sales and Finance. Additionally you will lead the deployment of the RGM strategy and analytics in DACH. With your team you will build the ongoing execution of RGM aimed to drive longer-term profitable growth for Colgate Palmolive collaborating with the commercial organization including Sales, Marketing and Finance teams and also together with our customers via Retail Category Development cooperation. In this role, you will bring your experience in data analysis and statistical modeling to help identify (shared) revenue growth opportunities, optimize pricing strategies, and improve overall CP business profitability. You are the expert in translating these opportunities into customer and category projects. You take the lead on large (cross-category) category projects, both internal and external.Based on your commercial experiences, you are able to translate these opportunities into Business storytelling to influence customer implementation via Category Development cooperation.
Key Responsibilities:
- support the RGM capabilities development in all (commercial) functions in DACH; lead overall Revenue Growth Management Analytics, including optimization of current sources/analytics and ideation/creation of new profitability workstreams, and demonstrating enhanced capabilities working collaboratively with customers.
- drive and monitor the RGM strategy development & deployment across DACH countries
- overall coordination and responsibility for (strategic) pricing planning & tracking; supports pricing input for Commercial process together with Revenue Growth Management Analytics
- Together with Division and Global analytics teams transforming the data foundation and pricing capabilities, scale advanced analytics and amplify local analytics capabilities
- collaborate with Finance to assess financial KPIs that accompany various pricing scenarios
- leverage multiple data data sources to combine and “connect the dots” to identify strategic opportunities that drive growth and profitability
- drive automation of work with internal/external data and also adoption of resources within broader team for self-service analytics
Key Skills, Competencies & Qualifications:
- College or University degree: a proven track record of performance with at least 5 years of work experience in Revenue Growth Management / Development, Pricing, Finance, Customer Development, Business Analytics and / or Consulting, preferably related to Consumer Goods & Healthcare Goods and / or Retail.
- Commercial knowledge: solid business acumen. Fluent Business English skills are required and fluent Business German is preferred. Previous experience working with RGM, pricing or sales controlling is required.
- Data analytics: solid analytical skills to evaluate and digest complex business processes, identify insights and opportunities and then capitalize and execute on learnings. Experience using the Google Suite solutions; MS Office with strong knowledge on Microsoft Excel; Nielsen and Panel data tools, Python or R skills are preferred
- Storytelling and simplification: able to convince internal and external stakeholders with convincing growth stories; able to make complex situations and topics simply understandable
- Interpersonal & collaboration skills: enjoys teamwork; works within the Consumer Experience team, broader commercial teams plus counterparts in other Hubs and in Divisional teams to build strong trusted relationships internally/externally to drive action and progress.
