The primary purpose of the Commercial Data Excellence Manager DACH (m/f/d) role is to identify and highlight commercial opportunities across various market channels by analyzing market, customer, and internal sales data. The role is instrumental in generating relevant insights for the stakeholders (field team, management, Key Account Managers, customers) and to ensure that strategies and proposed actions are based on facts and a sound understanding of the market.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse and correlate data from multiple sources to generate commercial insights on growth & commercial optimization opportunities
- Work with the Customer Development Manager and Key Account Managers to provide fact-based input on opportunities and suitable actions for the different channels and customers.
- Work with multiple complex data sources, merge the data for further analysis.
- Simplify existing reporting systems and develop new tools for all REs which build on each other to be more synergetic and beneficial for all functions.
- Ensure proper assessment and implementation of new tools across the Hub.
- Ensure consistent and on-time updates and availability of all essential reports.
- Collect and share data & insights about our competitors and customers.
- Empower all employees to actively use the existing tools and reports by providing easy availability, transparency and support to fully elevate analytics and insights for growth
- Provide regular updates to the Management, highlighting reasons for specific brand and / or customer performance.
- Collaborate with others on special projects that require specific data analysis and insights.
- Lead, coach and develop one Associate Commercial Analyst.

Experience/ Requirements:
- 4-5 yrs of job experience in relevant positions
- Commercial (retailer and brand) awareness to work together with Marketing, PVA and Sales to provide insights and facts relevant to grow the business with the customers.
- Ambitious & willing to continue developing.
- Knowledge on the how to get insights and how to transform into action.
- Maintains a positive attitude through challenging situations; highly resilient and advocates for change.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills; sets clear priorities.
- Confident in challenging the status quo and identify new opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrates clarity of thought in complex situations and can clearly explain scientific terms in simple, understandable language.
- Experience with Big Data Analytics, Distributed Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Google Analytics, Googlesheets, Big Query, Excel (advanced incl. macros), SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, merging data from different sources is a must
- Experience with Machine Learning, Model Optimization, Deep Learning is a plus
- First leadership experience is a plus.
- University Degree.
- Fluency in German and English
